Some people have short memories!

The team haven't turned up yet, second in every challenge, not interested in making runs, and again lumping the ball long instead of playing it on the floor - which especially today hasn't worked, not only because our forwards are vertically challenged, but the wind.

Timms has miskicked one ball, which happens to everyone. The wind and a soft free kick have played a big part in the other goals.

Oh, and it's a game of two halves...

Timms has a habit of lumping the ball long - from your posting you give the impression that Timms isn't at fault in that respect - ARE YOU AT THE GAME???

Wonder if Timms has called for a taxi home?

According to my contact at the game - Timms was at fault for ALL the goals.

If meteorologists aren't able to judge all weather conditions, how do you expect Timms to do so?

The only real positive from the first half was Marrs' performance. Despite the undesirable weather conditions, he looked like he wanted to be there. Whereas Hall spent most of the game on the floor, after being caught in possession far too many times. The front three spent some time half-heartedly chasing the long punts from defence and midfield - that were hoofed into the swirling wind, rather than a simple shout of 'time' followed by playing a five yard pass.

Brackley, to be fair, were organised and up for it in the first half; they were the better side. The wind had a huge impact on the game, anyone who disagrees must not have been there.

The second half was a completely different kettle of fish! Though unless Timms was injured, the decision to take him off was bizarre! There weren't enough men behind the ball in the first half, when the wind meant it was difficult to get out of our own half. There were large gaps which were exploited and the strikers were chasing attempted clearances rather than getting the ball to feet - I'm not sure if they've been told to wait for the ball to come to them or not, but I lost count of the times that, Miller in particular, was beaten to the ball by an opponent.

The fact our first goal, which was an own goal, went in so early on, coupled with the weather conditions set up a decent half of football (Turley was in no way to blame for the goal).

The second was a great run round the back by Newsh, and was finished well. There were countless chances created throughout the second half, but there was a lack of killer instinct at times. Sanders had very little impact on the game; I think he fetched the ball once?!

Brackley were stronger and more committed than us, they played to their strengths and took their chances. Though I don't think Andy Hessenthaler will have too much to report back - apart from Turley's red card, the save he made just prior to his dismissal secured Brackley all three points!

As bad as boston was first half they were just as bad second half. And even a meteorologist can call the weather if they are stood in it

Following the cup game I criticised Timms and got some real stick on here with lots of you saying he is a class keeper. Well today he performed as if he was auditioning for a pantomime, His errors have caused us to be out of the cup and today cost us three points, incidentally his pathetic attempt to clear the ball for the third was with his strongest foot. Yes the weather was awful but in the first half we were hardly at the races with the exception of the new fullback who was head and shoulders above the rest. In the second half we bombarded them with a lovely goal from Newsham however we could not force a third.

Timms also cost us the win against Harrogate because he made no attempt to stop the 2nd goal being scored.
So his poor play has cost us a potential FA Cup run,  2 points against Harrogate and at least 1 if not 3 points today.

We could have been in top position instead of 6th.

Despite his potential as a goalkeeper which has become suspect lately he has become a liability.

Sadly whilst I think he's generally done well on the pitch, today must be the worst 45 minutes I've seen a Boston keeper have... you can't legislate for 2 gaffes like that.

A shame as they only made 1 free kick all game (which they scored!)- we only really got going as an attacking force 2nd half but towards the end it was everywhere in that penalty box apart from the little bit that mattered. Got it back to 3-2 with still 25 to play and would've backed us to nick something but not to be, though it was funny to see Turley get himself sent off for mouthing off!
I'm not sure they have a 2nd keeper either- a striker had to go in goal and it was like watching me in my BGS days- how he didn't let any in was a mystery!

But we have 3 winnable games to come either side of a trophy game, lets get a minimum of 7 points from them and we're in there again, though Hednesford winning at Alty today has put them in a tidy position now.

They were poor, I agree, and apart from the sublime pass for the second where Newsh again made a really hard take and finish look so amazingly simple, we did spend almost the duration lumping the ball, but perhaps someone can explain the point of the forwards making runs when, certainly in the first half those lumps very rarely even made it across the half way line. But you can't excuse the first, wind or no wind. This wasn't a freak like those at the weekend, this was down to a total misjudgment and awful starting position, and Timms as a very experienced keeper will know that, no-one will need to tell him. You're roght though it does happen and it's why I refuse to join the general lambasting however understandable
