Title: are referees protecting players?
Post by: howmanynames2pick on September 23, 2009, 06:49:25 PM
With Milly getting a broken leg, Nick Jackson out for awhile through bad tackles.
Church getting an elbow Tuesday night.
None of which the offending players got booked!

I thought Ratford were a bunch of thugs to be honest. (apart from their No 10 )

In truth i think the word thug as been used far to many times from last night.

I didnt think there team was a bunch of thugs as 98% of there tackles was no worse than you would normally see.

With really the only stand out been the 2 footed lunge wich dosnt accure to often. as for the elbow, we see that every 2 or 3 games.

The bench problems n truth they can flair up with the lightest of teams once there teams start to come under major pressure in wich at that time they was.

the box push happeneds all the time in some shape or form.

I wouldn't label Retford as thugs either but the elbow from Ellender was there for everybody to see, plain as day. Just how the man who should be catching these incidents did not see it beggars belief but he should have known he had dropped a big one when Churchhad to go off a couple of minutes later.

A truly poor performance from the referee who I would think will get away with it as I doubt there was an assessor present at this level.

I know its a mans game etc etc but someones gonna get really hurt .
They seem to let lunges go but if you throw the ball away or say something you get booked!
I'll soon be on "why arent we top of the fair play league" - mystery

Assessor was in the FI stand, often to be seen holding his head in his hands!!
