Title: BUFC sign Peter Bore
Post by: jonathanBUFC on June 20, 2013, 12:24:47 PM
We have signed experienced Peter Bore from Gateshead! The official website says he can play up from, right wing or right back. Former clubs are Grimsby town, York city, Harrogate town and Gateshead. This seems like a quality signing! I presum he will be p.ayed up front and the left back is still yet to be signed.

Seen him play a couple of times, very good player but dont think he will be played upfront, not the target man type and when you have miller newsh and SWD no need to play somebody there who doesnt always play there

can remember his debut for Grimsby v BUFC :(
we were 2 up and coasting, he comes on and scores with his first touch in pro football.
he may have scored the winner as well.
got a lot of saying sorry to do! really spoiled my day out.

Another good addition by DG. Only couple more defenders then we will be looking good

Need a bit of versatility with a small squad, and provides quality too. Will probably be first choice on the right-wing ahead of Fairclough.

I like the look of this signing. Just popped into his Wikipedia page and it suggests that whilst he started off on the wing and or upfront he has almost been turned into a full back!

Home town Grimbsy, and playing for Gateshead, he certainly doesn't mind a bit of mileage does he which is good for everyone

Either way versatility can be so important, especially in a small squad, and though I cant say I can remember ever the lad play, as an ex or even current winger, you have to assume he will have pace, such an important ingredient. Shaping up very nicely, am already booking the diary for the friendlies. Seems like months ago since we last played! :'(

Football eh? Having liked the look of some of our other signings when others didn't, I have my concerns about Mr Bore, having seen him turn out for Grimsby a few times, the guy has talent for sure.  But the end to his spell at Blundell suggested he wasn't really using it.

Didn't he play for 'orrogant against us?  it was a good 75 minutes before we even realised he was actually playing.

Another non-contract player with versatility shouldn't be a bad thing.

Still looking for an experienced commanding centre half and decent plan b up front for when the pitches deteriorate (Harrogate)
