Title: FRIENDLIES
Post by: wayne, york pilgrim on May 17, 2012, 08:54:31 PM
good to see a few friendlies arranged for july, but would like to see us play some much bigger better opponants. mansfield should be a good test, but for the sake of generating a bit of excitement in the pre-season as well as bring in some cash, it would be good to play teams such as norwich, forest, leicester or peterborough. i'm sure if we played any of these teams we would get a crowd of 4 figures. if we managed to get some good results against these sort of teams there would be a much more positive mood around the club and fans, and lead to bigger crowds at the begining of the season.

The Rainworth fixture might see us up against our ex Player Mark Camm. He was certainly a Rainworth player last season. Our old goalkeeper Billy Millar was the manager there as well, but departed the club during the campaign.
