Here are our potential opponents in the next round. I believe it's an open draw?
I hope we get a thoroughly boring draw, like someone in our league at home. (This has nothing to do with me being on holiday that weekend, you understand...)
AFC Hornchurch or Farnborough
Alfreton Town
Barrow
Basingstoke Town
Bath City
Braintree Town
Cambridge United
Carshalton Athletic
Chester
Dartford
Droylsden
East Thurrock United
Ebbsfleet United
Gateshead
Grimsby Town
Guiseley
Hampton & Richmond Borough
Hinckley United
Lincoln City
Luton Town
Newport County or Forest Green Rovers
Northwich Victoria
Nuneaton Town or AFC Telford United
Salisbury City
Staines Town or Maidenhead United
Stockport County or Stalybridge Celtic
Vauxhall Motors or Kidderminster Harriers
Wealdstone
Weymouth
Worksop Town
York City or Solihull Moors
-
Bath City
1-0
843 :dan
-

selfish me
-
Who are the lowest ranked team left? East Thurrock? That'll do for me.
-
Either an lower league team at home or Grimsby/Lincoln at home

The next round is set to be played on Saturday 14th January, and that'll mean our away game at Colwyn Bay will have to be rearranged - what a trek that will be for players and supporters in midweek!
It'd be common sense for the fixture to be delayed until late March or early April. That way, we can at least travel there with less chance of a postponement. But I doubt Colwyn Bay will want to do us any favours. Their players weren't the best behaved when they came to York Street and were "shown the door" from our social club after the game. So we're not on the best of terms with them and they'll probably look to reschedule for the middle of winter just to annoy us!
-
Isn't there a certain number of days from the original date, that a fixture has to be rearranged for? If the clubs don't agree, then the Conference arranges it for them
-
Bath City away would be best (selfish)draw for me. Nearest to Newton Abbot!!
-
Dartford away
-
Bugger
-
That's a home game for me ;D
-
Home game for me too, but I'm away again!
just like Bishop's Stortford.
Damn and blast!!!
-
One of the closest grounds the M25?
-
At least Bazza is a popular character with some of the fans....
Tough draw with the Darts sitting in 3rd place, but if we want to progress then these are the teams to beat.
Should be a good crowd too with them averaging 1200, new ground too which I would'nt mind visiting.

Just seen the pigs flying overhead! No chance the ciouncil will help, they're too busy 'donating' more money to the white elephant down the Boardsides, throwing money at yet another refurb of trhe market place, and helping out the EA with money for the barrier to stop the town flooding(?). Mind you, when we get to Wembley just watch all the 'dedicated' fans down West Street come out the woodwork looking for freebies!
-
old pilgrim dont forget we owe them 35 grand plus interest from a loan!

Mainly EU snd LCC money, would have gone elsewhere if we hadn't accepted it.
-
maybe the council is pumping money into princess areana because thats where we will probably be playing our games once the lease is up at york street.

It's an amateur-only stadium due to its Lottery funding

what about wembley and the olympic stadium?

Nice to see teams looking forward to playing us for the right reasons again (not to get one over those cheating tw@'s that had Fatty McFraud in charge.)
I just wonder if my Sat Nav has anything south of P'Boro in it.
On the plus side, our form in recent years in the south is excellant, we've not lost ;D
-
Excellent only a little over an hour commute ;D

LCB - Lowestoft away ????

Thats not in the south,
.....it's stuck in another decade. ;)

:) Well it's a few years since we played you guys. We had a slight 20 year dip in form but since we moved into Princes Park it's been nothing but championships and glory. We're well and truly back now and it should be a good scrap between our two sides in January. Hope to see a big turnout from you guys, you were always well supported. Hope you enjoy your day at our new stadium ... but not too much.

I remember going to your old ground, probably in the late 1980's for either an FA cup or Trophy game.
We drew 1-1, with you taking the lead, and a equalliser from Glen Beech securing the replay. You had the wonderfully named "Broderick Tucker" in goal that day. I'm not sure whether I have ever seen a bigger pair of shorts on a football field ever!!!!!
Sadly, my days of travelling are over, but I hope that it is a good game.

Broderick Tucker!!! Oh dear ... not our finest hour. Thankfully he wasn't around for very long. We were never really sure if Tucker was his real name or just cockney rhyming slang. ;)

I remember that game (and Mr Tucker - can't forget a name like that!). It was about 1991, when the Darts were using Maidstone's ground. I won the prize draw in the clubhouse afterwards - in those days the £15 prize was enough to pay for the day out!

Is that a wind up? :)
