I think the most interesting player we haven't missed is Ollie Ryan. I think we were all a little bit worried that maybe we'd lost something, but the new strikers have more than filled his boots.

I'll wait a few weeks/months before I'll decide on whether we're better than last year, looks good so far

It certainly looks better than last year, but we were pretty hopeful last year too
I remeber a quote from a pre-season podcast saying that this was the season that they looked forward to the most.
Im interested to see how Kings Lynn fare this season, whether they struggle like us last season or they actually try.

In fairness I don't think I could be accused of being overly optimistic about this season. However I think it's clear to see that this group of players/style of play have the ability to score goals. The quality of opposition is obviously low, but the thing that impresses me is that we seem to have more capabillity to enforce our superiority this year. The one thing I would say though is that we possibly haven't seen how the defence cope under pressure from higher quality opposition. Its all very well scoring a hatful, but if we ship them at the other end its not a lot of good.
On the whole though, having seen us finish last year with a dismal goals for column, it's refreshing to see us scoring goals in a way that I don't think last seasons squad would have. I've always thought that scoring 3 or 4 goals in a game is a sign of superiority, but scoring more than 5 or 6 shows that the players have a hunger and desire to do more than just what is necessary. I guess time will tell, but I think we do have grounds for optimism that this year will at the very least be a little more entertaining than last season.
