Title: Ellie
Post by: woad_pilgrim on May 30, 2009, 10:48:59 AM
It was mentioned on The Impstalk Forum that Ellie has not been offered terms by Alfreton and someone else said he had a 2 year contract. Think it might be the same 2 year contract that Margy was on here...

Taken from teh Alfreton forum:

Law has been extremely busy tying down the core of his talented squad on either new or extended contracts.
The club are delighted to announce that Aden Flint and Anton Brown have both penned new two year contracts whilst Kris Bowler and Matt Wilson have both signed new one year deals.
Tom Curtis and Josh Law have both agreed new one year deals with the Reds.
On top of that list, Paul Clayton, Liam Hearn, Kyle McFadzean, Jordan Hall and Brian Cusworth are already under contract with the club to the end of the 2009/10 campaign.
Goalkeeper Steve Dickinson, right back Simon Marples and central defender Tony Butler are currently mulling over new one year offers.
Players not offered new terms are striker Danny Davidson, central defenders Paul Ellender and Martin McIntosh, goalkeepers Tom Evans and Kyle Sutcliffe, midfield players Danny Mayman and Ian Ross and striker Ben Muirhead who requires an operation which will unfortunately keep him out of football for the next eight months.

Get him signed and ditch Bloomer, 1 player that is Boston through and through.

Yes it's the same Ian Ross.  He looked very tasty in the few games  he played I thought.

Yes, I too thought that Ross would go on to better things from what I saw of him at York Street. Pity.

A year too late for Ross to come back, his low key laid back free and easy approach would have been compatible with last season team.

I thought too that Ross would have gone in better teams... when he was at Boston,we made 11-12 matches without losing, and I remember the good comments about him..

Ellie back with us would be fantastic...  I ask myself why Alfreton has taken him back ,if now they release him..  ???

When Ross was here he won League 2 PLAYER OF YEAR AWARD AND SINCE HAS GONE DOWNHILL, EVEN BEEN REJECTED BY TRINITY. Elly only got 10 games for Alfreton and  they wanted him of the payroll.
