Title: Andy Butler's Wife - sad news
Post by: RamMalc on July 30, 2010, 06:08:44 AM
Unfortunately Lisa passed away last night . I'm sure his many friends around Boston United will understand  posting this here  . Our thoughts are with him and the familly at this time .

From Andy;

I'm really sorry to wake you up to bad news but Lisa passed away last night, she had a massive heart attack and this time there was nothing they could do.At present I'm numb and not up to making a load of phone calls so please accept this instead. Thanks for all your support over the last few weeks for us, she took great comfort in knowing she had so many people who cared about her, its just so sad, I'm heartbroken.

My condolences  to Andy and family.

It's especially sad when someone  dies  or endures a  long and serious illness at a young age ..

I've only spoken to Andy on a couple of occasions and found him to be thoroughly decent bloke.
Its impossible to imagine why someone like this gets dealt such a terrible hand.
My thoughts are with you.

I've spoken to Andy a few times and i've found him a very decent bloke. I never met his wife but my heart goes out to him and his family. Terrible when you lose someone so close to you and being so young too.

Russ.

Thank you so very much for all the kind comments, I'll be showing them to Lisa's mum next time she's round.

The funeral is next Monday, 9th August at 12.40 at Boston Crematorium. No flowers please but donations to the heart units at Boston and Leicester if desired. Smart casual dress as well, we both hate the formality of suits and ties (although I'll obviously wear one) and the reception afterward in the BUFC Sports Bar where all are most welcome to help us celebrate a wonderful persons life.

Andy

Hi all
As you know, Andy has asked for no flowers but for donations to be made to the hospitals.
With Andy's permission I have set up a Just Giving page to make it easy to donate. The page can be found here
http://www.justgiving.com/LisaButlerMemorial (http://www.justgiving.com/LisaButlerMemorial)

RIP Lisa, who was a true friend to me.

Just a quick note to say all who knew Lisa (and myself) are very welcome to attend on Monday at 12.40 at Boston Crematorium followed by a reception in The Pilgrim Lounge, again all welcome.

It is Lisa's funeral today (12.40 Boston Crematorium)  and I am going to break my solemn promise never to venture in to Boston to show how much her friendship meant to me.

RIP Lisa.
