Not a bad result but we still need them to drop 2 more points in their last 3 games

Providing Boston United can win their remaining matches then Bradford PA have to win their remaining matches to finish above us.  But I wouldn't put any money on BPA doing that.  Boston United is another matter   ;D

It is reasonable result for us - I didn't think Buxton would beat BPA.

Not a bad result but we still need them to drop 2 more points in their last 3 games

who they got

Frickley (A)
Whitby (H)
Hucknall (A)

Guiseley have
Matlock (A)
Marine (H)
Frickley (A)
Ashton (H)

I really can't see Guiseley losing two of those (or drawing three)

Latest league

Top half of the table looks like this tonight :

Pd Pts
1. Guiseley 34 73
----------------------------------------
2. Bradford Park Avenue 35 71
3. Boston United 35 70
4. North Ferriby United 34 65
5. Retford United 35 61
----------------------------------------
6. Kendal Town 32 55
7. Matlock Town 35 54
8. Buxton 34 53
9. Marine 36 53

The pressure is on BPA - because their current form is erratic at best - whereas ours couldn't be better.

Matlock are just outside the playoff places so Guisely could have a tough game there and I'm hoping that Guisely will catch Marine and Ashton on their good days but I must admit I can't see them not beating Frickley, but you never know I suppose.

Realistically we're going to play at home against North Ferriby, Retford of Kendal in the play-off semi-finals, with anything else to be considered a bonus.

The battle for fourth and fifth in the Unibond League is closer to call than fourth place in the Premiership! Games remaining:

North Ferriby:
- Ossett Away (tonight)
- Worksop Home (Saturday)
- Hucknall Home (20th April)
- Retford Home (Final Day)

Retford:
- Kendal Away (Saturday)
- North Ferriby Away (Final Day)

Kendal:
- Frickley Home (Tonight)
- Ashton United Home (Thursday)
- Retford Home (Saturday)
- Buxton Away (Monday 19th April)
- Whitby Home (Wednesday 24th April)
- Worksop Away (Final Day)

Interestingly all three have at least one game to play against their play-off rivals with Retfod playing their two closest rivals. Still time for twists and turns, but with the games they have in hand - especially at home - I'd fancy Kendal to edge ahead of Retford into fifth place. They would then be our "reward" for finishing second.

Matlock are in great form at home. Just flicking through their recent results gives us good hope... they haven't failed to score at home since October 13t, and have scored 9 goals in their last 2 home games.

We won February Team of the Month and picked up 1 point in our next 2 games.  Guiseley won Team of the Month for March and then lost their next game.  It is the kiss of death for good form although we soon bounced back. Let's hope Guiseley don't have our good fortune!!

I can't see us finishing any lower than 3rd - so in that case - we would be at home.

If that was the scenario we would have to hope that BPA (assuming they didn't finish top) have a bad semi-final which would mean we play at home in the final if successful in the semi.

Agreed. Dont fancy watching the final at that dump with the running track even if it is a damn site closer to where I live!
