Title: McEvoy Back to Sunderland?
Post by: joebloom9 on November 03, 2015, 10:51:57 PM
McEvoy only joined on loan for a month isn't that right? Which would mean Harrogate would be his last game. Will we be back to square one once he goes back? As this would probably mean Marrsy has to go back to playing left back. :(

It'd would be a real shame if we couldn't extend the loan. He's helped (along with others) balance the team, and has had a really positive contribution for me. He's a proper left back, not a makeshift one, and it shows on the field.  :)

absolutely key that he stays or we get another left back. marrs can provide cover but he is a right back and being right footed can put him awkward positions. I thought Marrs was excellent saturday as in my view FCUM's left sided player was theyre best on show. By moving him it weakings the right back bearth, whatever happens just keep him at right back Dennis and if the worst happens put another squad player at left back which only weakens one position.

Anyway hopefully he will stay as he seems to be benefiting from the experience.

If he's on a youth loan (expected due to his age, and that he still played for Sunderland U21), then his loan only expires when Sunderland recall him (which could be agreed to be after a month)

Just heard from Dennis that McEvoy won't be going back to Sunderland after the Harrogate game. Not sure how long we have him for after that though.
