Just been confirmed on their o/s. Fee to be set by tribunal. Good luck Shaun
-
Shaun was fantastic for us during his time here,he and Churchy epitomised everything that was good about the Club in the past two years. He's got his wish to play full-time and on a personal level i wish him all the success in the world.I just wish it hadn't been Grimsby.Fee to be decided by tribunal??-means we'll be lucky to see 10k.I'm sure i can hear Fenty,Scott and Hurst laughing from here........
-
And S & H will obviously "forget" that they valued him at £100k when Alfreton were rumoured to be sniffing around him!!!!
-
reading the grimsby fans views, they havent got a midfield yet. could they come back for churchy?
-
Good luck but could have done better
-
According to the Grimsby O/S a fee can,t be agreed but they HOPE to agree terms with Pearson.
-
At least they've done that the right way...
-
He was a great player for us and good luck to him for the future.
-
As much as it pains me to say it, a move for Shaun to the fishy land is certainly a step upwards and his pursuit of being a full time professional can finally be achieved. Thanks for the memories and your superb efforts every game, you'll be missed greatly.
All the best to you !

All I am going to say is that he could have done better.

A lot better.
But all the best to him.

Apparently he only had one other club in for him, obviously the "scouts" didn't see the Worcester, Alfreton or Gloucester City games last season?!

Or they didn't rate him as highly as we did ;)

He scored plenty of headers for us and stood out at the BSN level but I think he will be found wanting for pace at a higher level. And he is injury prone. He will be back in the BSN before the seasons out.

Fair play for sticking your neck out, but are you the fella the said the world was going to end the other week ?
-
Daniel what would you say if in the jan transfer window someone offered you a injury prone c/b bit short of pace by the name of Pearson. Would you take him ?, i know i bloody would
-
Faraway, yes I would.

Trouble is, that description also fits Nigel Pearson, 47-year-old ex Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough centre-back and current manager of Hull City. I wouldn't be as pleased to see him at York Street in the January transfer window.

When will the tribunal hearing take place? At the end of the day it'd be fairest if the Pearson fee could be taken into account in our squad budget for the new season. But my worry is that the fee won't be decided until after the season has started.
-
If it's to be settled by tribunal, does that rule out the possibility of a sell-on clause?
-
These tribunals often take months rather than weeks , and mostly have a sell-on clause.
Don,t thick the fee will be big enough to have a impact on the seasons budget.

Tribunal fees are usually a set amount, plus a sell on, plus another amount after so many games, etc...
