Hi
I was hoping some of you might be able to help me in my quest.......
I am a Sunderland supporter and am trying to collect as many autographs of players who have turned out from the lads in Red and White
Some of these players have turned out for Boston and I am hoping someone might be able to point me in the direction of any of the following
Bob Lee (Boston 1983-1986)
Bobby Mitchell (Boston 1987-1988)
John McGinley (Boston 1989-1992)
Colin Symm (Boston 1975-1978)
John Evans (Boston 1956-1957)
Please contact me with any possible leads no matter how trivia or small...any info could help
Thanks
MAH

Big Bob will surely be the easiest of that lot - I guess he may still live near Sleaford.
-
Big Bob does live near Sleaford, I was talking to a neighbour of his the other week when I sold him some axles for his trailer..... I'm told he is friends with Mark Wallington, the old Leicester and Lincoln goalie who teaches at Carres and still gets down to York st occasionally.

Bob Lee lives in Heckington.Often drinks in the local with Wallington!

I can't really help in terms of knowing the whereabouts of any of the players listed, but haven't there been one or two others who have played for both clubs down the years? I think Phil Gray, who had a loan spell at Boston a few years back, was once with Sunderland.
And presumably Steve Evans must have turned down a job offer from Sunderland at some point?

Didn't we use Sunderlands training ground that time Evans shamefully got BUSA to pay for that jolly to Darlington?
I can just imagine the fat twat strutting around there thinking he owned the place while taking advantage of the naivety of well meaning supporters.

-
Was it the Gray who came on loan from Oxford and was dispatched back quickly by Evans? It was alledged that he had difficulties getting from his lodgeings at The Red Cow to York St on matchdays.
