If he was available at the right wages have we missed a trick here? Personally no as SWD is a similar player to the Daryl Clare we had ten years and as we seem to only be using loans at the moment the impression is that the budget is spent.

Big headed bloke!

Surely by now it's more than his head thats big? If it is pace and power that troubles our back 4, then he has neither.

Class player when with us the first time though, Class A dick the second.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

From the Beeb

"Clare was hampered throughout the summer by a buttock injury and then sat out all of November and December with a serious *twix* finger break."

Neil Thompson somehow decided that a team that was strugling to find goals would be better off with ELLENDER up front instead of CLARE. Clares reaction (in his own words as we never heard Thompsons) was that he asked why he wasn't playing and was told to leave the ground. Clare played for the reserves at home shortly after and made a two fingered jesture towards a section of the fans as a response to a few fans getting on his back (nothing different to every other Saturday though.) Clare was subsequently sold to a Confrence club (i think Chester) and went on to win the golden boot again the following season. Clare returned to Boston shortly after EVANS in between successful spells with several Confrence clubs, his second spell wasn't as successful as his first and wasn't here very long. Will be best remembered for the goals in the Confrence winning season, the performance and double against Hereford in the first Boston televised game and THAT goal in only our second home game in the league to beat Lincoln in front of the townend.

Not forgetting two late memorable goals against Donny to earn us a 2-2 draw when we looked well dead and buried.
