The B-Ark / Re: O/T In or out

The Canadian/EU  CETA trade deal has just been signed .
Thought to be worth around £10billion of trade per year.
Trade deals with China, India, America, etc look like the way forward for us  8)

That is true - but it took 7 years of negociations.

I have spoken to several people who voted to leave - and now question their choice at the ballot box.   I wouldn't rule out concessions made to the Government to persuade the UK to remain part of the EU - and as such if a second referendum was held the result would be an overwhelming victory for the remainers.

Theresa May continues to say Brexit means Brexit - but what exactly is Brexit?

More debt?

What's yr agenda?

Inuendo in virtually all your posts.  It doesn't matter who the manager is you have a dig.  Do you actually support Boston United?

You state that 73% want Greene out?
How do you arrive at this figure?
It's a poll on the Secret Facebook site.
Don't look at it....if you are feeling slightly depressed it may tip you over the edge.
Some old enough to know better and kids piping up...

On the more debt question
Will it directly affect any posters on here...or the fb page??
It's unbelievable. ..one says DN must throw more ££ at it and another questions the debt.
My Steering Committee idea really does need addressing :)

So a secret Facebook group - I wonder if it was started by one of the "Green Outers"?   It's a wonder the vote wasn't 100% out.

How pathetic.

It was started quite a while ago, before anything took off regarding DG and his outburts against fans. It's not pathetic to discuss your club - you're doing the same on here!

I was referring to the 73% vote not the fact that discussions on Boston Utd take place.

How do you arrive at this figure? I haven't been asked and I should imagine half the attendance at Saturday's match haven't been asked either.

If you post Inuendo's in future back them up with proof, although doubt that will happen.

Or better still go support another football team because you obviously don't support Boston United.

Good to get a long distance game in. Prepares the team for the season ahead - Fylde away for example. Playing a game after a long coach ride is different to just hopping over to Stamford.

TEP

Well if it's such a good idea why has it NEVER happened in previous seasons?

I find it hard to believe the following read on social media over the weekend, but surprised no one else has mentioned it - that the team stayed overnight in Gateshead - I presume on Friday night ahead of the match.

What I would like to know is - has the rumour any foundation and if so who paid for the hotel accommodation?

Why do you want to know ?
Is it any of our business ?

Didn't it cross your mind why a friendly was arranged nearly 200 miles from Boston.   As KON has posted we are a non league club on a tight budget so why play so far away?

Posters are assuming DN knew about it but when the Chief Executive found out he was (allegedly) non too pleased.
I wonder why?

Does anyone know what the highest paid player gets paid at Boston Utd and the average wage overall?
John Blackwell, David Newton and Neil Kempster,
All other figures are guesses

Perhaps, but £500 a week for a part time player seems a bit excessive.
I am not privy to payments but I would doubt very much if  any player is on £500.....
You would have to go back to the league days and poss just after (dregs) for that kind of money

They were my thoughts until was told otherwise recently,  but spending 6 weeks in the Far East isn't cheap;-) Perhaps not basic wage but with appearance and bonuses £500 a week is achievable.

Plans were passed a few months ago for a new marina to be built in Boston - what I find odd is how the Q2 plans also incorporate a marina.   Surely Boston isn't big enough or there isn't sufficient demand to support two marinas?

Perhaps even three marinas http://www.brp-architects.com/projects/master_planning/fishtoft_marina_lincolnshire/index.php

I'm so sure the marina at fishtoft in those plans is currently on the table.
There were moves in 2008 to develop a marina in the same area but nothing came of it because of the costs involved.

Bore hasn't been released, although Boston United are looking to move him out on loan.  Fairclough is off the Grantham on loan.

A happy squad will most likely bring in the results.

We have had that for the most part - but I wonder if what happened at Ilkeston - was starting to appear at Boston United.
Watching on Saturday followed by a sudden departure from the ground I fear that the disruptive element was resurfacing and no player is bigger than the Club he plays for.
