well done on winning yesterday 4-1 was flattering but you were the best team on the day.I did warn you Carshalton are a very friendly club and i hope you were all well fed and watered which was tribute to the club who do not get 1800 week in week out.....let me know if The Hope is still as good as i remember it :-)) good luck in the rest of the competition i hope you can make it to the magical 3rd round draw

Barbary - for those of us driving to the game, where’s the best to park ? Is there many spaces at the ground ?

In answer to your question there is a fair sized car park at the ground but with a crowd expected to be possibly double what we normally average say 800/900 turning up latecomers may have to park in the residential areas surrounding the ground.....if you are there pretty early i don't see no problems whereas if you turn up at 2:45 i can

Thanks for that post and good to hear. A couple of us coming by train any pubs nearby you recommend for us.

They have a fair selection of beers at the clubhouse but a real ale connoisseurs pub is The Hope only about 10/15 minutes away from the ground.......exit the train station on to West St and turn left ....about a 3 minute walk. Not been there myself for a while as i have moved out of the area but the reviews still say its top notch :-))

Carshalton fan here in peace :-)).....if you find a more welcoming club this season i would be surprised. The Robins strictly enforce the Respect programme run by the FA which gives the opportunity for young people to visit matches without hearing swearing and the nasty side of the game which no supporter wants to hear.......i cannot remember the last time we had crowd trouble @ our ground and if such trouble did occur i would be confident that it would not be initiated by the regular 500 that turn up for home games. With regards to the match if it was at your place then imo its a 80/20 in your favour but as you are aware this truly is a 50/50 game now so may the best team on the day win and i hope any of you travelling down will witness a fab game.
