One thing I don't like about managers is that it's always the players at fault and not them. Just heared JL on the radio. Of course we can't afford to get players in because we hanen't got the funds, and the way the attendances are dropping we wont be able to keep some of the players we already have. And what on earth is Newsham, our goal scorer, doing out on the right wing and Fairclough, our pacey winger, doing at centre forward. I am not going to blame the players for my falling lack of interest because they play OR don't play for the manager. JL once said to me when I commented on his ability that he does what the manager tells him to do so I presume that still applies to our players. And I presume todays goaly is cheaper than Haystead to pay, so I wonder if Haysteads days are numbered. A lot of booing at the end of the game today but I bet JL thinks they were directed at the players and not him. Attendance today was 780, Attendance at next home game, 779.
-
Seeingbetter ! Did you hear the positives from Ross about the home crowd?
-
No I didn't. I am not blaming the players just the way they are used, our tactics and the sometimes rediculous substitutions that are made. Did you notice Ross got man of the match today. I thought he did well. Jelleyman was consistant today.
-
And you've hit the nail on the head.........we've got the players, just the wrong manager.

Still happy MyLeftFoot are you pleased with the performance?

Don't encourage him, he makes old Marky Boy sound coherent after a gallon of grape juice.....
-
;D Don't be like that, old chap. I'm always a glass half full kinda guy!! ;)
-
I was hoping to be 'glass frequently topped up' type guy today.......shame some clown ruined the day!
-
Ahhh......... sorry to hear that. ;)

i am not a season ticket holder for this season .but not missed many game's.from now on if i hear the same 4 name's in defence again .i will go home sooner than pay, they have no leader no passion and no idea how to play the ball out of there area, we were lucky the game was not over at half time, the only possitive move today was smith for stoke's they are 2 very good 45 min player's, ((i am not nocking the back 4 indivual play, they just can't play together I.M.O. )) ;)

I couldn't get to the game today as I am full of cold, how did Drury get on? Was he at fault for any of the goals or was it just poor defending in general?

some will try to say he was. IMO he was okay and wasn,t at fault for any goals
-
Blame those in front of him, I didn't think he had a chance with any.
But he's not the answer.
-
JL said Drury had a good game and was not to blame for any of the goals . Did I miss a deflection for their second goal?
-
No, just a driven cross met with a deft flick.

Ill agree with that

I'm clearly not the only person who was mystified by today's substitutions. After being fortunate to be level at the break, we started the second half better and equalised almost immediately with a well-worked goal - and almost immediately after that JL made the subs. Why? There's not much point taking off Jones if you're still going to launch the ball upfield. And if that wasn't bad enough, like SB earlier in the thread, why on earth did Newsham (who had just scored) remain out on the wing with Fairclough in the centre?

Thats just funny when lee does that, puts out and out son to put more crosses in but removes the hight that can get on them.
The guys just so cool

There is a CUNNING plan I'm sure, perhaps one day it will all be made clear.
