Stockport are on an icredible run of form at the moment, look favourites to win the league now to me.

Fair play to them. Cracking fans, decent stadium (away end excepted). They're far too big to be languishing in this hilariously bad division.

If they do win the league we will have won against the champions, away, two seasons on the trot.

Bit confused why Stockport have drawn in FA Trophy today and have a replay,
£FC £ylde draw with Barnet and its gone to extra time and penalties, both 4th round ties?

Clubs can agree to settle on the day.

This agreement caused lots of confusion in an early round of the Vase. A local team to me, Ingles FC visited Melton Town and beforehand had agreed on a replay. However, after the game ended in a draw, the referee was having none of this agreement and insisted on extra time. Melton won but on appeal Ingles won the replay. Who said the referee knows best?

The problem was not with extra-time being played it was that the game was decided on penalties when the two sides had agreed it would go to a replay.

In the FA Vase if the scores are level after 90 minutes then it is mandatory that extra-time is played. If the scores are level after extra-time then the default is the game goes to a replay. However, the two teams can agree in advance to finish the tie on the day with a penalty shoot-out if they so wish, but this should be clearly stated on the match arrangement form which is sent to the FA within 7 days of the draw being made. If the tie is going to be decided by a penalty shoot out then the referee has to be informed no later than 45 minutes before kick-off.

As someone who has to complete the match arrangement form for FA Cup and FA Vase ties I can confirm that it clearly states on the form that extra-time is mandatory in the FA Vase (and FA Youth Cup).

Thanks FT. I am now aware of the rules. Strange though that the Vase and Trophy are not the same as each other.

All FA cup competitions should play to the same rules... why 2 legged semi-finals in the Trophy and Vase, but not the Cup?

As their Trophy replay is due to take place tonight, then they play Spennymore on Saturday, will this run of hard games have a detrimental effect on them in regards
of our game against them next Tuesday?

Won 3  - 0 away at Maidstone with Jordan Keane scoring the final goal.  What a shame we couldn't keep him but can't blame him for wanting full-time football.

Highly rated Jamie stott has rejoined them on loan apparently. They think the world of him

I (almost certainly) can't go to this game only one all season
So it all points us to shit-housing a 1-0 win with our only shot all evening!

They're sure to be buoyant when they arrive at York Street on Tuesday evening after beating Spennymoor today (they've now done the double over them) and Chorley only getting a draw at Darlington.

What an attendance too!! They were 6,311 at Edgeley Park today (213 visitors).

What a massive gate. Fully deserve to be in conference with that following.

I thought football was played on the pitch not in the stands.

What a massive gate. Fully deserve to be in conference with that following.

Yet 6000 of them home fans won't make the trip Tuesday night.....
Probably for the best these so called big clubs are gone. They're cash cows for every other team except us (and possibly Blyth, Hereford and Darlington)
We're losing out massively compared to the average club just through lack of away fans. I reckon it's 20 to 40 grand! 39 from a team on the crest of a wave yesterday for example, other clubs can budget for Stockport, fcum, York etc taking 500, 800, 1500 to their ground yet neither muster a couple hundred at our place

We cannot change where we are located, but Tuesday night is a downer, work etc.

If it was a Saturday I'd be there without hesitation, I've been to your ground 3 times and I really like it, it's a proper football ground and a good town, I admit to having had a bad image of Boston prior to visiting. I'd seen reports about Boston having the fattest residents in the country and being a UKIP stronghold so it doesn't paint a great picture, however I was pleasantly surprised when I spent a day in the town. Unfortunately I can't get there tomorrow as there are no trains back, there's only one coach and that's booked up and I've rung around trying to get a lift without success so it's the radio for me, you are unfortunately positioned in football terms, I'd booked half a day off work confident I could get there but sadly I'll have to make do with a trip to Brackley on Saturday and that is a place I wouldn't mind giving a swerve.
We really are playing well but tomorrow worries me, prior to the Spennymoor game I said the next 3 games would be a tough test and if we come out of it no more than 2 points behind the leaders I'd be happy, so far so good.
