Good luck to him!
-
Good luck to him indeed. But i'll say it now, give it a few days before the vultures add him on twitter ready to pounce with abuse should any results go wrong ! :bunny Now, having said that, i think this good luck gesture needs to be upgraded, lol.
Joking apart, lets all start afresh now, cut the crap out and get behind this team, however bad they may be at the moment.

Sounds like a bloke with good ideas , looks as though his playing career and his location will give him access and knowledge of players required .
Will he make a playing come back to get us through our crisis ?
Well done Chestnuts , genuinely excited by this signing . Interesting to see what changes will evolve over the next few weeks .
-
Good to see GHM being positive for once! Budget and location not mentioned!

Odd post KON ,you have been prolific in slagging my positive posts .
And location was one of the main points made in my summary of his assets
-
Welcome, and good luck to him. Seems to tick many of the boxes set by both the Chestnuts and us fans. Last time we appointed a young manager we chose very wisely indeed (S&H) so let's hope for more of the same.
-
Positive appointment and hopefully can get a team together by the next match
-
GHM you are moving the goal posts! Youve been moaning about location of the club...Lincolnshire!!!! Not the location of the manager??? So I guess had Den moved to Manchester we would have been OK!
-
I know nothing about the bloke but I wish him luck, he will need it. I just hope he doesn't call us a sleeping giant of non league.

Lincolnshire remains in the same place , you are right I have not moaned about the location of the manager . Chestnuts have hopefully pulled off a masterstroke with the new managerial appointment shifting the player recruitment to a different area .
Sad that you do not embrace the new manager unreservedly , even DG followers have rushed to back him , what do you want ,
him to get stuck in and lose a few matches so another out campaign can start again ?
-
Exciting appointment by the Chestnuts. Welcome to BUFC Adam, hope you enjoy your time at our club!
-
The only person to start the campaign was the man himself!

The only person to start the campaign was the man himself!
As stated enthusiastic DG backers appear to be getting right this man ,as is the most sought after Nat CON striker , also appears to cause concern to rival relegation candidates . What do you want ? Greene back?
-
As someone who has also followed Derby as my other team for almost as long as BUFC, I am delighted to see an ex-Ram joining the club. Here's wishing him success!
-
Good luck Adam and welcome to BUFC.
Well done to the board.

Listening to the new managers interview on BBC Radio Lincolnshire, he say's he needs the fans to now be positive. Does he have a magic wand as i could easily name a good half a dozen, who no matter what, will soon find something to gripe and groan about, be it funds, wages, if the stadium will be built....
Lets have some Murray Magic, put a spell on the knobhead army to make them the 'ever so nice army'
Will be interesting to see if he sticks with the players we have for a few weeks, or out several.
-
There's only word needed to describe this appointment......mint!😂
-
a good appointment IMO....ironic that he was manager at Mansfield Town prior to Ev@ns.....
-
Recovering alcoholic. Good luck to him, hope our defending doesn't drive him to drink!

If it's only about half a dozen out of over 1,000 then that's pretty good. Tiny percentage - and in existence at every club in the land.

Wondered when some PILLOCK would raise this. He has manned up to this and like anyone in his position we should support him 100%. Welcome Adam.
-
Why the hell has York Street Pilgrim mentioned that, it is not his or anyone's business.
We don't own Adam,he jus manages BUFC.
Sorry Adam I will apologise on behalf of this pillock.
-
Welcome to Boston Mr Murray I hope you have done your homework on us and I hope you have a decent contact book.
Really do wish you a long productive stay at BUFC.
Don't waste no time and be ruthless on the current crop.
-
Erm excuse me, but Adam Murray raised the issue of alcoholism himself when he spoke to the media, I only pasted a link for the purposes of background reading and which I thought others might find interesting. I fail to see how posting a link to something which is (a) factually true, and (b) which the manager has brought up himself makes me a pillock. Certainly doesn't need to be in capital letters for emphasis. I think you shoul apoligise Oxo
For the record I wish Adam every success at Boston. Up the !

I am sure you read the facebook forum, so you don't have to be Inspector Clouseau to know a few of whom i speak about.
But like i say, its time everyone moved on now and got behind this manager. Which leads me to my next point -

I don't think that digging this out of the past is really anything that we should all want to know about, or even be concerned about. Just what has it got to do with his appointment or footballing matters ? All it will do is cause a divide between manager and fans, should he read this. Of course, this is just my opinion but i am sure many others are also against upsetting the apple cart already.
-
When a young man in his early 20s fights and overcomes a terrible addiction it exposes a great will power which he should be proud of and will be a great asset to him in life . Spoke well of the chairman who sacked him when many in the media have critical been of the chairman , sounded calculating and tolerant , key tools to handle hatred and intolerance that may come his way .
-
The digging up the past thing may have avoided housing benefit gate? ??
The more worrying thing is he doesn't like fan criticism being hurled...
Much harder to avoid than the booze

It kind of depends though, doesn't it?
Prior to Dennis Greene being appointed as our manager there had been articles on the internet about him having a fall-out on Twitter with his former club St Neots - see link below. If that had been posted at the time he joined us would it have been written off as "digging up the past"? Or does it all now feel a whole lot more relevant in an I-told-you-so kind of way as a result of Knobhead army and all that went with it?

I hope Murray's past is in the past and I wish him well for everything he does at Boston. But just because something may be historical isn't a reason not to discuss it.
-
It's hardly 'digging up' the past is it? It's on his Wikipedia page!
It was also a long time ago, so it's not really worth discussing at length or arguing over.
-
Jeez, he's only just walked into the job and someone has to find something against him, let the past lie in the past, and give the bloke a chance. Welcome Adam I for one hope you enjoy your tenure at BUFC.
-
Hopefully should make him more determined .
-
Good luck to Adam Murray, looks like an excellent appointment from what I've read. A man with the willpower and strength of character that you need for this job. Hope DN had the Twatter/fb conversation with him before the signing, although it sounds like he's got enough going on above the shoulders to figure that one out for himself 8) 8) 8)
-
Wonder who will be hired 'around ' him ?
-
On the surface looks a very good appointment. Welcome to the lions den Adam. Good luck.
-
Good luck Adam, welcome aboard the good ship Pilgrim,
Hopefully you can stop the leaks and stop us sinking further.
YSP thanks for info, at least I know I can't offer to buy him a pint.
-
a good appointment IMO....ironic that he was manager at Mansfield Town prior to Ev@ns.....
I've just seen that Ev*ns has added Lee Taylor, our ex-physio, to his backroom staff.
-
Good lad Lee been working all over the world.
-
Wonder if there is extra training to-day ..
-
Well if you think our club is in trouble, think again.
I have just got back from watching Notts County, which I do from time to time.
They were a shambles' and looked more clueless than us.
Chairman put the club up for sale and has several buyers who have offered the asking price 7million
He won't speak to any of the potential buyers and cant be found anywhere.
They have a winding up order in the high court fir unpaid tax.
The players were paid late last month, and the manager John Sheridan sounds like ge is ready to quit,as they are subject to an transfer embargo and he can't bring players in.
But Jordan Richards played today, and was very good.
But no sign of Dale Southwell in the Wycombe squad. Hmmmm
So lets all thank are blessing we don't have troubles like county.

It,s not all bad luck for NC , Jim left them a while ago to join Scunny and Peter Swan .
With their proposed new ground Jim will be an asset having overseen our failed planning for a new stadium on the Boardsides .
Maybe they will be able to recycle Jims Boston plans if he has retained the "fag packet " that a planning committee member suggested they were drawn on . :)
-
The LavaFlow fag-packet plans I assume. I noticed that they still have an interest in the club, the name appeared in the last programme I read :(
-
Swanny promised a new stadium for Trinity. Never delivered, and gave up...
He's promised a new stadium for Scunthorpe, but it gets delayed more and more...
What has the guy actually achieved in football?
-
Just listened to his interview on the O/S, if he manages the club and players as well as he talks we could be on the up.
-
Yes, agree with Tash comes across very well in interview and sounds like a winner.
Had a good record at Mansfield, why did he leave / they get rid of him?
I was a Greene fan but quite pleased with Murray appointment, get the team playing well and build for next season to be another promotion push.

Unfortunately that hasn't happened so far yet he continues to talk the talk
