Kings Lynn results

How would it effect us if they exsponged all their results?  Would we be still top of the league?

Still to play Durham twice though and the GD is already looking good.  I'd sooner be in our position than anyone else!

That's helped us move up a few places but i'd still rather have Kings Lynn around.

Anyway, it looks like it won't happen. They have another seven days to appeal against the decision and raise the £65,000 they need for the taxman and their home game on Saturday is still going ahead, with no doubt lots of bucket collections.

Surely they must have someone with a bit of wealth connected to the club that could find 65k. In comparison to what we've owed over the last few years it's not that much

From a selfish point of view this will cost BUFC a  15k / 20k gate on boxing day along with the loss of the Newcasle B S fixure it amounts to a big loss to club.  Lynn should have a comparativly easy job to reform with the council owning the ground and letting it to the present club at a peppercorn rent . Hopefully with a new club run by a reputable body this arrangement would continue.

Presumably if the worst came to the worst and King's Lynn did fold then we would be given a home fixture against Stocksbridge Park Steels on Boxing Day - as they are the team to miss out currently on Boxing Day due to the Newcastle Blue Star fiasco.

As I v'e said .. hope they carry on in this League but with a points deduction  .. so they don't compete with us for promotion  .

More likely they carry on for 6 months chasing promotion and then get kicked out anyway.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

The main difference I see is our games in hand have gone :(

And Durham's goal difference has improved quite considerably.

Seriously, let's hope King's Lynn pull through. I don't like to see any club in that situation as I know how bad things felt when it looked like Boston were doomed. King's Lynn's circumstances are not dissimilar to our own. What is happening now is the result of an over-ambitious board breaking the bank to bring in players who quite simply they couldn't afford. A lot of positive things were said when it emerged Julian Joachim had joined them from Darlington. It doesn't quite look as good a signing now, does it?

I would say there is a bigger issue than 65k. That's likely to be the tip of the iceberg

chances are there are plenty of other money issues, and that will put off investors,

They where close to the brink 12 months ago, they may get through this problem. That doesn't mean they are safe

As LG says over ambitious spending on players is the downfall. A policy many fans on this and other forums advocate without seeing the long term disaster waiting to happen.

How come we've gone from having 2 games in hand over everyone else to having played more than most teams.

We havent even played Lynn yet?

I reckon they'll pull through and i hope they do, 65k isnt all that much compared to what we've been in.
