Would be a fair response but not seeing better quality players being recruited. Think he still has a lot to learn and needs an experienced person beside him or our scout needs to improve his choices
I agree with what you say regards improvement. Many of HIS players (last season included) haven't been CN standard, they've been Unibond standard, as they're players he already knows, and as is currently being proven, they're generally not up to CN play off standard, which is where we are all agreed where we SHOULD be at as a club. The Boardroom seemingly have backed his style and player hiring and firing, so accept his revolving door, which we all have to, like it or not. For the record I'm a firm believer in playing a settled team whenever possible, and personally, I don't like this policy.
Yes, no stability in selection, no where near any style or consistency on the pitch. I just really wonder what CE has to offer this job now? You have 2 say Newton has backed him well financially. DN himself must be thinking: how many players does this guy need 2 sign in half a season?
It's just so v v disappointing. There is a fear/ inability to perform at York St? With a Total lack of commitment to the cause. Any self belief this ever changing lot had has long since disappeared. It's just a fact unless there is a dramatic upturn in form we will be in the relegation mix.
Totally agree and I watched Craig turn around looking at the townend after the match and the stick he was getting. Looked like genuine shock on his part and would think he knows he is losing the support of many of the fans now.
This must feel like dejavu for DN it's becoming a 're run of the Murray tenure. He will desperately want to give CE more time & as we are (currently) mid table that will probably happen. It doesn't detract from the fact that by all accounts (including CE's) that first half yesterday was disgraceful & if not for Willis we could easily have gone in 5 or 6 down!
For Elliot to say he was ashamed of his players & doesn't know why they downed tools first half is of Serious concern to all. His response is so similar to AM's towards the end of his spell. Personally & maily due to Club finances he needs to at least see this season out.
There have been a few fans questioning from the onset whether or not this was to big & 2 quick a step up for CE & it looks like that's the case.
Let's be frank; there were under 900 BUFC fans at York St yesterday. Forget we just had Christmas, fans on hols etc. That was 2 sides allegedly fighting it out for a play off place? That turn out says everything about whats been served up for long enough at home. It shows as Delbar says Elliots losing support rapidly. For that fixture yesterday as we know from DG's 3 full seasons an entertaining Boston would have pulled in 12-1300+.
The massive problem I see ahead for us is 3 fold:
We are shocking at home, players confidence shot, will we have 2 rely on away games for points?
We are so predictable to play against & don't score enough goals. Even during that good run in last season something like 15+ goals came from the penalty spot.
Finally this run in is going to be so tough. Kiddi away Sat then due to the structure of the league; every team we play will be battling either for the Play offs, or to avoid the drop. The 7 play off places virtually means no mid table safety.
