The Lincolnshire League has six new clubs next season:

Brigg Town (relegated from NCEL1)
Lincoln Moorlands (transferred from Central Midlands League North)
Gainsborouth Trinity Reserves (new club)
Cleethorpes Town Reserves (new club)
Lincoln United Reserves (new club)
Spalding United Reserves (new club)

Here is the full list of all Step 7 leagues as released by the FA yesterday: http://thebootifulgame.co.uk/2018/06/11/fa-release-step-7-constitution/

There appears to be some confusion as to whether the game is going ahead on Tuesday or not. Grimsby Borough have tweeted the game is postponed due to Ruston refusing to travel, whilst someone has replied saying it is not true. Here's the twitter thread.

Regarding Skegness Town it has been announced today that they have been promoted to the NCEL Div 1.

EDIT Brigg Town have not been reprieved and have been relegated to Step 7. As yet I have not seen where they are going to but it could be the Lincolnshire League

Brigg Town finished in a relegation spot in NCEL Div 1, although may yet receive a reprieve in the re-organisation, however, if they are relegated they could well go to the Lincolnshire League.

I do not know when Grimsby Borough Academy v Ruston Sports will be played. However, although this affects who wins the league I do not believe it affects Skegness Town's promotion hopes.

My understanding is that Skegness Town is the only side from the Lincs League to apply for promotion. As a result their promotion is not dependant on winning the league, they will be promoted as the highest placed applicant.

Which league they will go into is unknown at this stage. There are potentially three leagues Skeggy could end up in: NCEL Div 1 (nearest side would be Grimsby Borough Academy?), United Counties League Div 1 (nearest side would be Bourne?) or East Midland Counties League (nearest side would be Newark Flowserve?). All three leagues have been mentioned for them, whichever it is their nearest side looks to be at least an hour away, hardly ideal at step 6.

What has to be remembered is there are some major changes at step 6 next season with two new step 6 leagues (one in the north west and one in Essex from memory) plus all step 6 leagues have to have a maximum of 20 clubs when several currently have 22 including the NCEL Div 1 and EMCL. As a result there are going to be numerous lateral movements of clubs between leagues across the country.

I was told by a NCEL Board member yesterday that the FA League Allocation Committee is due to publish the step 5-7 allocations on 25th May.

There's a massive difference between the NPL and this league. Nothing wrong with Willis. Experience at this level which current gk isn't I don't think. Mind you, there was not not much wrong with Durrant and money was paid to bring Willis in to replace him. Folks my old game. One things for sure, current side is in just as much danger of relegation at this stage as the lot who were written off as not good enough by many this time last season

Big difference is the wage bill is now much much higher and the club is no further forward

Jon Stewart does have experience at this level. He left Worksop to join Bradford Park Avenue where he was the regular 'keeper for a season (maybe slightly longer) until he joined Shaw Lane. He also played in over 30 games for Alfreton in the Conference National.

...along with Jamie Yates. I went to see Lincoln United (including Rob Norris and Kallum Smith) play Sheffield FC last week - Adam Chapman was sent off after half-an-hour..
Sheffield FC improved after that!

Sheffield FC's manager was sacked immediately after that game.

I was also at the game sat with a couple of Pilgrim fans in the first half. If one of them was you Mad Dog I enjoyed our chat.

Here's the latest missive from the Bridlington Chairman over the alleged illegal poaching of players by NFU. It's fair to say he is not a happy man!

Looks like NFU have been raiding NCEL club Bridlington Town for players. Have a read of an open letter from Bridlington's Chairman to Ferriby!

Jon Stewart is one of the best 'keepers I have seen in a Worksop shirt in the 50 years I have been watching them. He was our 'keeper when we reached the play-offs in the Evo-Stik Prem and was arguably the best 'keeper in the League at that time. I certainly did not see a better 'keeper.

He was certainly a character who was very popular with the fans. "Back then" he was very partial to performing a Cruyff turn to wrong foot an onrushing attacker. As for his methods of timewasting to help kill off a game they became legendary.

I hope he is a huge success for you guys.

I went to watch Stocksbridge Park Steels v Sheffield FC today, the winner coming from Adam Chapman with an absolute screamer from 35 yards. I doubt I will see a better goal all season.

I've now seen him play twice in the last month or so and based on those performances he certainly looks comfortable at Evo-Stik Division 1 level. He's playing at centre half alongside a rejuvenated Julian Lawrence.

The first time I saw him play was away at Cleethorpes; I let the Cleethorpes ultras know he used to play for you who quickly followed that up with chants of "Boston reject" much to the amusement of Julian Lawrence. To be fair Chapman also had a smile in his face and took it well.

Will the club be fined for our poor disciplinary record?

I know at Worksop's level a club can be fined for poor discipline. There are two "totting up" systems that I know about that club's can fall foul of.

Firstly, at our level once a club reaches 75 disciplinary points for bookings/sending offs then they are charged and fined for having a poor disciplinary record.

Secondly, there is the FA's Respect campaign which relates to bookings for dissent by word or actions (C2's). Once a club has received 5 (maybe 6) bookings for dissent the club is charged and fined under the Respect campaign, the next threshold is 10 bookings for dissent. Once this is reached the club is charged and fined again (a larger fine this time), I don't know what the next threshold is, probably 15.

As I said in a previous posting our disciplinary matters are dealt with at County FA level, I believe yours is dealt with by the FA however I would expect there are similar processes in place whereby a club at your level could be fined for a poor disciplinary record.

Can clubs in non-league appeal ? I,ve never heard of it .
Maybe because the appeals committee would not have access to view from enough angles  to come to a reliable conclusion .

The answer to that is yes, non-league clubs can appeal against red cards, but as has been said you do need to have conclusive evidence to be successful though.

About three years ago I successfully managed to get a red card overturned for a Worksop player, but that was the only time in the last four seasons we have felt we had sufficient evidence to appeal even when we felt some of the red cards were definitely undeserved.

I cannot remember how much it cost to appeal it may have been £50 or £100, I think it was £50.

However, it may be different for you. As we are a NCEL club our appeals go to the County FA (Sheffield & Hallamshire in our case), I seem to recall when we were in the Evo-Stik Premier we had to appeal via the FA not the County FA, thus I suspect for you any appeals would need to go to the FA so the cost may be different?
