Sadly my dad Jeff Ashberry died on Thursday after a short illness.
He posted on this board as "Shoddys Lane" and always enjoyed the banter.
Although he switched allegiance to Boston FC (later Boston Town) when the new club was formed in 1964, he had been a big United fan before that. He would often regale me with the tale of how he was one of the thousands of Bostonians who headed to London on the train to play the mighty Spurs in 1956.
