Now that he has left Rotherham "on his own accord", do you think he will, in his own little world, imagine himself as manager of Sunderland or Liverpool, now Rodgers has been shovelled out the door, or even Chelsea!! ;D
-
already turned Liverpool down as they dont have the financial resources/brown paper envelopes readily at hand. Liverpool might have to settle for Klopp.
-
Favourite to take over at Leeds, according to Sky Sports.
Jesus shitting hellfire.
-
Staggered at this news. A once great Club of European stature now reduced to this. Shameful appointment by the current Board if true. Thankfully, the legendary figures of Revie, Bremner and other greats from their past will long outlast whatever Evans, Raynor and Evans do at Elland Road.
-
Has apparently taken charge of training this morning at Thorp Arch (Leeds United's Training facility).
-
Wow. Just wow.
Cellino and him deserve each other.
-
Revie is not corrupt???
-
Well this is going to be fun isn't it.
Predictably the response from Leeds supporters (inc two season ticket holders) in the office today is 'well I don't care as long as we go up'. The exact same thing Rotherham fans I met shortly after his previous appointment said.
-
Being a Leeds fan I am devastated at the appointment its enough to make you follow another sport .
-
On the positive side Swindon T fans will be dancing in the streets , they feared he would be linking up there with Power .
-

Any truth in the rumours that the warm up is "6 laps around me"?

3 laps max, the Leeds lads aren't that fit. Even Klopp would only make his players do 4 laps :bunny

and why not.
-
SAD SAD day for Leeds.
His Wiki page seems to contain very little reference to fraud and our surely unprecedented triple relegation over two seasons resulting from the time his spent at the club.
-
surely an internet wind up?????????????????
-
It was 8 years ago now let's move on. We all know he's crooked, but at the time 90% of people turned a blind eye while the going was good. Lots of people enjoyed the fact that every other team hated him - and that will suit most leeds fans. He's dodgy and crooked, but since leaving us his CV has been remarkable, and that's going to appeal to a certain type of chairman.
-
"You Tube" interview on Leeds United site, feel like spitting at the screen. For some strange reason the comments are disabled for the video - now I wonder why!!!

Steve Evans, April 2013
"Leeds are not a big club. Don't get me wrong, they used to be, now they're just a circus run by puppets, watched by blinkered seals. If they ever offered me a job I'd turn it down. I want to be the captain of a cruiseliner, not the Titanic."
Fast Forward 2015
The same Steve Evans signs for L***s on a rolling contract.

Brilliant, and let's hope the Leeds fans get to hear this!

Couldn't find this quote on the web so it may be made up, but did find one in the Yorkshire Post from October 2014 that is almost as damning.
He said: “If you are a Dave Hockaday, Darko Milanic or whoever you are – if you take the job under Massimo, you know the rules; he picks the players, you coach the players.
“My interest is the Millers and I pick the players, whether they come, whether they go and our chairman supports that. The minute he doesn’t support it, I go.
“But if you work for Massimo Cellino, you coach the players and get the results from the players he brings in or you pay with your job, that is the way it is.”
-
He's not as stupid as he looks. It's a win win situation.
IF he wins matches, then he gets kept on for a while, stays in that luminous limelight that protudes from him.
But, nobody expects him too. He gets a pay off and his name in the press again, with some sympathy.

And he will keep rolling, and rolling, and rolling, and rolling...

Did he leave a good job in the city?

Ernie 100 opened topic by my tired eyes ..

Look again P86. I look at most posts on this site unfortunately even yours. I am sure you were probably one of his fans, unlike the sensible united supporters

He sure was!

Is the LMA throwing evans out!s
-
He sure was!
Nope, I supported the team. 99% were a fan during the Dr Martens and Conference winning seasons.. until it all came out. I simply said he deserved a shot when his ban was over, and it was obviously going to happen. As soon as the football went to pot, I was just as against him as anyone else!
Despise the man.

What am I looking at?? Am I sensible in that I've been to the vast majority of home and away games since I was 14?

Agree with you 100% P86, and so did 15 coaches and 3,000 supporters the day ray Warburton headed the second at hayes. Sure, all sorts of rubbish came out afterwards, and I'm a hater too now, but at the time I thought he deserved a chance. What's come out since has ruined everything good he ever did, and more. Despite all this, I still can't help but think his next step is premier league at a club like sunderland for example. God help the prem if he makes it, but for some reason I can't rule out the possibility...

I thought this was a forum board for discussions relating to bufc matters? I have a different opinion to you, what's wrong with that?

I would imagine he was a bit of a bully in the office.
