The club have a bit of a dilemma at the moment. There is a lack of Amber material on the market, so we are thinking of going a little bit more orange for this coming season ...maybe being a bit retro with us celebrating 25 years since Wembley and we played in orange that season.
What are your thoughts?
-
As long as we keep the stripes it's ok with me. Any chance we could have a collars this time please? :)

-
please.......nooooooooo.....IMHO

Revive this? But modernise a little in terms of shorts-length?
-
Amber, Orange, Yellow, Old Gold....
...we're a fussy lot
-
YES!
Do it. Retro Wembley kit would be fantastic. I think if you cannot be Amber I'd rather be Orange than Yellow.
-
I must admit i do like the Old Gold of the Wolves kit. Orange, Old Gold but please, not Yellow!! Is there any chance we can return to the dark Blue away kit please?

YES YES YES
Remake of the Wembley kit would be fantastic.
Can you put me down for an XL?
-

I'll second that ...
-
Bit of a shame-i liked this seasons shirt. No problem with the retro look in terms of colour-but i'd like to see the stripes retained.
-
Just go to the same supplier as Wolves - they have no problem finding amber shirts.
I always remember Boston's colours being described as "Wolves Gold" in the Rothmans Football Annuals.
-
If I can attach it ...this is something like we are thinking about(http://)
-
...or maybe this?(http://)
-
...and if you hate them let us know!
-
Have to be honest I'm not keen on that.
Would definately prefer a remake of the wembley kit, V neck with black trim and pinstripes would be IMO a cracking new shirt. That shirt looks a bit like a goalkeepers shirt.
No disrespect intended. As always your efforts for the club are very much appreciated.
-
No offence but they do look a tad Sunday league.
-
Yellow aint bad,
Definatly a shirt with a collar though
-
Of those two I'd rather have the yellow... never thought I'd say that!
-
No offence taken Saigon Pilgrim! It's opinions we want, good or bad!
We've not got a great deal of choice this year, but we are still talking to the suppliers.
-
If it must be orange then suggest black stripes and black V neck and short sleeves would be better for the players. Orange shorts with black stripe and black socks with orange chevrons.
-
Design is always going to be a matter of opinion, just go Orange rather than Yellow for me Cookie.

Agree with Adam. Orange and black stripes would be good......
-
Yes, happy to go for the orange which is much better than the yellow IMHO.
-
What about with a pinstripe on the front?(http://)
-
ones with pinstripes on front look more like a keeper shirt !!!
-
Of the two i prefer the yellow. The other is just too...........orange.Not pin-stripes.If we can't have the broad stripes like this seasons,i'd sooner have a plain shirt.
-
The yellow is too yellow, and the orange is too tangerine...
Are we changing from Vandanel?
-
I think Vandanel have serious financial problems and the receivers have been called in. Without sounding selfish I hope they don't owe money to Boston Utd as it could slightly undo all the good work Messers Newton and Kempster have done this past couple of years.
-
1985 Wembley shirts a nice idea.
And how about the players adopting the Paul Casey hairdo to go with them? ;D
-
To be honest the orange one is shocking. Preference for yellow out of the two.
Pin stripes don't always work .... particularly with the collared shirts.
Plain shirts are simple and less offensive, but the stripes are part of who we are. But never hoops again please.
Are we struggling with kit manufacturers? Have contacts with a French company - traditionally rugby - who have recently expanded into football shirts - maybe a deal to be done. Let me know if interested.
-
Chris, not for me i'm afraid, only my opinion but they're dreadful, sorry. Hull play in the same colour and style as Boston, any chance we could use the same suppliers as them Chris?
PS. I still like an all Blue second kit too! ;)

stripes, stripes, stripes, stripes!!!!!!!!!!! Whether vomit orange or puke yellow!
-
To quote an old phone advert and our current situation: "The future's bright, the future's orange" - personally I don't like either colour much prefer Amber and Black stripes ::)

Scott and Hurst should make her our first signing!!!

are you serious? have you zoomed in on her grid? not great up close!
-
I don't like either of them shirts personally.
-
Sorry Chris, think they are both awful colour and design.
I am biased towards the black and amber stripes, so anything else will be "ok" at best. This is THE shirt (http://charlery)
ok, not so good at adding photo's. Was supposed to add Ken Charlery's picture from 2001. :-[
-
I like this!!! Click on the amber/black colour scheme toward the bottom of the page. No stripes though, I'm afraid, but it has got a retro feel about it.

Joking aside, how about this?

Quite like that one, especially same design in blue for the away strip.
-
There is a lack of Amber material on the market, so we are thinking of going a little bit more orange for this coming season
Tail wagging the dog & all that. Who's the customer?
-
Agree 100%.
Its black and amber, not black and orange. Don't compromise on tradition for the sake of cost.
-
Cookie the pin stripe looks more like a barcode on the front of the shirt.
Leicester pilgrim - not for me, looks like a polo shirt - mind you would scare the opposition shitless if we arrived on the pitch on horses.
Pilgrim 86 - not bad - but would prefer black and amber stripes
-
It's a real shame we have to lose the kit we've had for the last season, in my opinion the best we've had in years. As we have to change i would rather go more "Dundee Utd" orange than BGS yellow. We did play at Wembley in a orange ish kit and also in 1987 under Ray O Brian. I'll probably buy the bloody thing regardless, although i hated the kit we had when we first entered the football league, that all gold kit with Oldrids on the front. If we're going totally retro then why not reintroduce the Paul Casey "hotpants", they really were very 80's, how did he get them up so high??
-
It takes some believing that you cant get Amber. I do like this seasons shirts and thought you had to retain them for 2 years. I know that the shirt sponser is to change but i remember 1 season where we had 3 differant sponsers on the front of the same shirt. If we are to change please have a coller with boston united fc on and The Pilgrims on the bottom like the last stripped shirts we had. I thought they were great shirts. ;)
-
Out of the 2 the yellow is the best but don't think much to either, pinstripes makes them both look worse. Traditionally in the 80's & 90's we always had a similar colour to Wolves, as testified by people without much non-league knowledge always saying to me "that looks like a Wolves shirt from a distance" :D
So something along these lines would be great:

I liked this seasons kit,one of the best we've had for a while. The stripes MUST stay.!!
I can't believe there isn't a kit supplier out there somewhere who can't provide something similar.
-
If the current supplier can't supply look around for one that can.
Are we locked in some contract with this lot?
If not, tell them to find what we want or we take our considerable business elsewhere.
When we're buying containers of goods if the supplier doesn't have what we want we go to another who will do what we want. Its the same principle with the shirt......we play in amber, not orange or yellow. The club should demand this, not be fobbed off by some marketing exec who's probably got a load of material in yellow or orange.

Seams we are looking at the Nike brochure check out page 20. Personally page 18 has a nice acceptable one if it has to be Nike.

I like orange, nice and bright. The only problem I see will be visiting supporters taking the *iss by shouting "You've been Tangoed".
There is something to be said for shopping round the suppliers. Why should they dictate the colour our wonderful team wear.

Eastwood beaught a good 7 fans here to be fair....

Those Hummel ones are ace, well retro.
I'm not too bothered about stripes either way and to be honest Orange is better than yellow if it can't be our original colour.
Love the Gold and Black Nike kit on page 15. That would be top draw if a little away from tradition.
