Pilgrim 86 I agree Newsham took his goal well but for those who were not there they should know that there first goal from a free kick was totally crap defending. We had a six man wall and all our eleven players were in the box, make your own mind up who was culpable as the free kick was hit past the outside of the wall into the bottom corner.
Second goal set piece cross to the far post which Bazza dropped for a tap in. What do we do on the training pitch?
Ok its all out of my system for another week.

Kirk played very well and was Boston's most dangerous player. Shame when he came off as he had the beating of his man all afternoon.

Good to see we can play a bit without a big target man up front - thought Newsham did pretty well and took his goal nicely.

We miss a Church type player in midfield. Sleath can't do it all on his own and Milnes and Ross aren't really what you would call midfield generals.

Defence looks a bit of a concern to me. Guiseley looked they would score almost every time they lumped the ball into the box. With White gone, Jellyman out injured and Austin hobbling off, are we going to see Jason Lee in defence ?

Also who will captain the side without jells and Austin on the pitch? Will Canners do it again??!! No other likely candidates I wouldn't have thought, other than Bazza! Who took the armband when Big kev went off yesterday?

Ian Ross would be my choice as Captain.

I'm not sure Ross knows the team well enough just yet. A very talented player, maybe better for him to just concentrate on that rather than leading team. Bazza maybe? Interesting one.

Kirk and Newsham both played well, ran their socks off for the cause.  Typical away performance, we had our chances to knick something but ultimately they battered at our door for most of the second half.  Some weeks we'd have come away with a point or three, other weeks you don't.

Ward was outstanding for long periods, but with injuries and absentees aplenty we need a patch up job in time for the post Xmas games.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

There you go just to wind up the usual duo

"A fine set of pics indeed. Presumably, from clarity and number, taken by a professional type (or else a fan who'd rather be snapping than watch the game)?!

Extra thanks, as there were genuine concerns being expressed in GFWC last night as to the whereabouts of a particular attendee, who was clearly recognisable on two of the photos. Crimewatch might be calling.

As for Boston, they indeed bossed for 10-15 minutes at the start and showed good organisation throughout. It looks like their next few fixtures might see them climb to the top of the chasing group, although their fans seem less cheery about their prospects of actually bridging the gap.

For once I'll be away from Harrogate next Monday, doing the family thing, but looking forward to the first 2012 fixture the week after.

Have a good un, one and all.  "

On the official site, Lee Canoville says he is quite happy with how Boston are defensively at the moment. I know Guiseley are one of the better sides in the league, but they looked like would score everytime they hurled the ball into the box on Saturday.

I hope he is a little concerned, particularly as we haven't had a clean sheet in the league for 12 games.
