For the last three seasons we've clubbed together to sponsor a player. I think there is enough interest to do it again this season. But before I let Craig know I'd better check there are a few of you who will contribute. If it's the same as last season we need to raise about £220 to sponsor home & away kits. I usually put in £50 to get it going and the rest of you contribute in £10 or more chunks until we reach the required total.
As per last year anyone who sends in £10 or more will be entered into a draw to receive the sponsored player's shirts at the end of the season.
Craig has e-mailed me to say that Ben Wilkinson and Tom Ward are available, so let me know which one you would prefer to sponsor.
So will you be joining in the fun this season?

I'm in again Ken.

Ken, what's the situation 'cos this doesn't look full to me? :o

Time to start getting the money sent in for this!
You've probably noticed from the match programmes that I plumped for local lad Tom Ward.
I've just popped my cheque in the post to get it started.
So as for last season could any Patterers who want to join in with this either just send a cheque made payable to Boston United Football Club Limited to Craig Singleton at
Boston United Football Club
The Jakemans Stadium
York Street
Boston
Lincolnshire
PE21 6JN
or make a donation to the Support the Pilgrims Fund at:
http://www.supportthepilgrims.com/ (http://www.supportthepilgrims.com/)
or make a cash or cheque payment in person at the Club Office at York Street.
Don't forget to mention that it's for the Pilgrims' Patter player sponsorship.
As per last year anyone who sends in £10 or more will be entered into a draw to receive the sponsored player's shirts at the end of the season. So each £10 you send in gets you a place in the draw (so £10 - 1 place, £20 - 2 places, £30 - 3 places etc.)
Craig will be keeping track of the donations and let us know when we've reached the target of £240.

Thanks to everybody who has pledged money so far. We are up to £180 of the £240 required to cover the sponsorship and VAT.
As Ken says, everybody paying £10 will be allocated one entry into the end-of-season draw for Tom Ward's home and away match shirts.
You can send cheques to Boston United, The Jakemans Stadium, York Street, Boston, PE21 6JN or pay online at www.supportthepilgrims.com.
Many thanks - and up the Pilgrims!
-
Up to £200 now :)
-
I'll drop mine in at the club next saturday if i'm not too late.
Incidentally, looking in the stortford programme today, we could nearly sponsor their first XI for £220!

You're not too late. We're still about £40 short of the total so if anyone else wants to join in the fun then get your money to the club as per the instructions above.

Just donated £10 via http://www.supportthepilgrims.com/.
-
I've also just donated £10 via PayPal

Ken, are we still short? I think I missed the start of this thread as I was on holiday, and seem to have overlooked it since! Will send a cheque to Craig for £10 if you still need it.

I think we're still just short, so any contributions will be gratefully received. Many thanks.

Put me down for a tenner. I will pay Craig when I next see him.
-
With the Oakham Pilgrim and Gus pledges, we are up to £220 of the £240 - just two more pledges of £10 required!
Oxo, My Left Foot and Swinehead Pilgrim pledged £10 apiece - but I cannot find if those monies have arrived - via cash, card or PayPal. Drop me a line (craig@bufc.co.uk) to let me know.
Many thanks for everybody's support.
Looks like Ken's choice of Tom Ward was an inspired choice, given his current form!

Drop mine in on Saturday Craig

Craig has mine too :)
