RIP Our Henry
-
True gent, and scared the sh*t out of Clay. R.I.P :(

Here here. I remember as a young lad watching the fight between Henry and the then up and coming Cassius Clay. He did put him on his arse, they did cut his glove and if the round had gone on for another minute, Henry would have won. Sadly, not all things work out and as they say, the rest is history. Henry was a true gent, a proper sportsman probably never the like to be seen again.
Rest in peace Henry Cooper, Englishman, gentleman, true sportsman.

He had the great good fortune to be born an Englishman which means he won first prize in the lottery of life. The great thing was that he shared his success with the rest of us mortals.
Great man, sadly missed. All the best Big H.

Sad news .
Maybe if he'd boxed a weight lower he would have been World Champ .
