Title: Prediction League - Leek Town vs Boston United in the Cup

Boston haven't got a very good record at Leek Town, they almost got knocked out the FA Cup by them in 1989, requiring a replay after being held at York St in the 1st Qualifying Round. And there was a similar performance in the FA Trophy in 1995. A few encounters in the Northern Premier League & League Cup in the 90s produced just one draw and three defeats at Leek. So not the best side to meet in the qualifying rounds of the FA Cup when your form has dropped! So even though they are currently playing in the Northern Premier League Division One South, I'm going for another cup draw.

Although we're sitting 7th in the table, and have just been walloped by Mickleover, the feeling at Leek is that this is going to be a good season, and we're set up for a real crack at promotion following two play-off exits in the last 3 years. The bookies agreed, making us pre-season favourites for the title.

We started off brilliantly, conceding just 1 goal in our first 6 games. And although the wheels appear to have come off slightly as the cup games have built up, I don't think it will take a great deal for Leek to get back to their well-organised best.

Hopefully the crowd will be over 400, I'd like to see nearer 450. Stoke not playing will help, although Vale are at home.

Final score, I think it will be tight. We've got goals in us, but taking on a Conference North defence is a very different prospect to rocking up at Goole on a Tuesday night.

What should have been a straightforward call is now real head scratcher, if it rains with the ground at the bottom of a valley and a pitch that cuts up notoriously, it could be a right old battle and with recent results the pressure is all on us, hope I get it badly wrong but i fear

i think it will be a tight first half with us edging it at the break maybe 1-0 up then the more the game goes on we will be comfortable and go on to win 2 or 3 - 0
