SWD and Sleathy
« on: May 20, 2012, 04:48:10 PM »
I thought Jasons deadline for signing last years squad was last weekend.

Have they signed yet? If yes-why no news yet on the official site

If no then withdraw the offer straight away especially from SWD as we do not want a repetition of last years shambles.

Can't remember him saying there would be a deadline for signing. He did say after Guisely that he would be speaking to the players the following week and releasing a retained list which he did.

JL DID say that the players had till last week to make up their minds but due to holidays and work commitments when they put pen to paper is a different matter.

Isn't Sleathy still a student and hence coming into his exams so will want to concentrate on that rather than signing a contract when he doesn't know where he'll be geographically?

no need GHM. Nobody in Woodhall has any money.

Pleased SWD has signed. Economics is persuading me to get a season ticket, but I want Jason to sign 2 or 3 more players in the next 2 weeks before I commit.

Sometimes the best signings are done late in the summer eg Churchy and Ellender. Have faith in JL. Some of the players could easily get another decent team at this level - Ross, SWD, Newsham, Jellyman, Sleath etc but no one has suggested that they will be leaving which shows that the players want to play for JL.

That takes me back Carl, don't think I've ever been more excited about a new signing that when we got Ellender. And I include all the times Mickey signed in that as well!
