Offer made to Marriott so likely he’s after a FL move, at 29 it’s now or never.

Given that there won’t be any relegation from the North and South you would anticipate there not being much opposition to going by points per game and promoting the two league winners. Kings Lynn were going to win the league and they should be promoted - I’d also prefer them to go up given how much they’re throwing money around.

The big issue is going to be the top of National League and if League 2 gets voided - there is a lot of money riding on that.

Guess we will find out whether will eve be necessary in the upcoming months, judging from other countries social distancing is going to have to be in effect well into 2021 which is going to rule out crowds at football matches.

Any sport at all will have to be behind closed doors and English football cannot survive like that for long, big problems ahead for everyone up and down the pyramid.

I guess the further down the pyramid you go the easier it is to just void a season - less money involved. I think eventually the authorities will start to realise this season won’t be able to be completed.

Wuhan is still under lockdown and that’s been the best part of 4 months, we’ve only been in it a couple of days. I can’t see how this season will be completed without rejigging next season as well - something I don’t think thy will do. I’m gutted but coming to terms with the fact that I’ll never watch us play at York Street again.

It’s crazy to think that just a couple of weeks ago a full Premier League program would have gone ahead - the only thing that stopped it was Arteta being diagnosed.

I do have sympathy for fans of clubs that go bust, it doesn’t take much, a bad season or two or some dodgy owners - we know that better than anyone.

However I have no sympathy for a club to be in the position of going bankrupt twice, that should simply not happen. What happened to learning your lessons?

Not only would it be terrible PR for the club, something which The Chestnuts have worked so hard to rebuild, I don’t think he would really add anything that we don’t have.

Thewlis does essentially the same role but better, and you can see from Dayle how much a lack of game time can impact you. Reece looked good whilst he was here but was also playing for a team that was struggling at the time.

Someone like Ricky Miller has had his problems too but he’s clearly good enough to be scoring goals at FL level. Reece not so much and given the nature of his crimes is someone I would not welcome at YS given some of the shady characters who have besmirched the clubs name over the years.

Two former pilgrims with important goals against the top two today.

Kaine Felix with the winner for Guiseley vs York and Ryan Qualter on target for Alfreton to draw 2-2 with Kings Lynn.

Bradford PA in 2010.

Was a 7 hour round trip for me, must have been well over 1000 pilgrims there, and was a promotion earned though hard work and determination only. No brown envelopes or embarrassing Scottish managers involved.

Little feature about Ernie Cooksey who we know sadly passed away not long after playing for us.

Not great, could have been a lot worse away to someone like Dover or Fylde. It's a lot closer that London though.

If Dale get through you would imagine they will be resting most of their first team? Don't want to go to Wrexham again for obvious reasons...

BostonGoals, bear in mind Altrincham beat York City on Saturday.

Yes absolutely no easy draws, however we did slap them 5-0 earlier on this season, you’d back yourselves to win against them at home.

The B-Ark / 2nd Round Draw
« on: November 10, 2019, 08:59:17 PM »
Is tomorrow at 7pm.

Great to see home draw against Ipswich/Lincoln, Sunderland, Portsmouth. All of those would be TV ties along with Coventry who I imagine would bring a fair few fans along too. Not that many non-league sides left so you would think a home game against most FL sides would likely have some sort of coverage.

Really hope we avoid an away game at Fylde, Dover, Forest Green, Plymouth or Carlisle. Combination of being miles away and quite good, some of the L1 and L2 sides don't really get the same sort of attendances judging from some of the games this weekend. Blackpool looked empty from the highlights.

If you're looking for a winnable tie then either Chichester or Altrincham are the ones.

Got to back the boys to get at least a draw there, then replay here for a long journey in midweek.

Also not that many clear TV ties to choose from there.

Get in there lads, I’ll be watching the first round draw since god knows how long.

Great travelling support, football league standard.
