I'm still waiting to see this improved performance.  It always seems to be away - so have just booked tickets on BUSA bus for Lowestoft.  Maybe there I will get to see the much improved performance.

Well how do you put a positive spin on such a game, the answer is you simply can't. That perfomance today was incredibly embarassing. We never looked like we'd even get started today. We were against a very poor team today and yet we could only match their poorness by playing exactly the same game. Why do people assume its fans that make the players play so poorly ? We're not the ones playing utter rubbish like today and they should be told by the fans that they aint playing good. I cant stand there any longer and clap every poor pass and performance and smile at the players and pretend I'm happy. I can't fault the back today, but midfield and strikers were missing at sea I presume. The lack of opportunities is strating to scare me, we created very little and apart from a dead cert header in the 2nd half, I can't remember any other clear chance. Once again the man in fancy dress let us all down and didn't seem to mind that one of the whitby players hand balled it in the box but was quite happy to book us for a similar offence. I and quite a few others were shocked when the management took clarke off instead of saurez. Granted clake had a very quite game by his usual standards but saurez wasnt doing much either. The new lad came on the 2nd half and he seems alright but need to see much more of him before making any judgement. I'm not going to diagnose all our problems today, there's just far too many to name from poor passing to not running into space to simply not having shots. Id just like to say well done to whitby for getting a point, we certainly didnt deserve to win today. Mr Hurst, Mr Scott, I don't envy your position right now, boy we've got some waking up and improving to do if we're to progress anywhere in this league. What should of been a comfortable oposition was made into nothing short of a shambles of a performance. I hope they can hold their heads up high, I know I couldn't

That was a total non-event.There seemed to be a lack of a willingness to get hold of the game by the scruff of the neck.I don't think the 4-3-3 system is working for us at home. When teams like Whitby(and Others) come here and pack the midfield everything gets too congested.Several times today players looked wide for an "out" ball and there was nothing to hit.I still think(most) of the players are good enough, but the system is doing us no favours.Still don't know how Newsham missed with a free header, but in truth I don't think we did enough to deserve any more than a point.Draw specialists Retford here on Tuesday, and I can't see how we can beat them on todays performance.

Eh? We may not have scored, but we were all over them today - hardly embarrassing. If Newsham had just taken a step back, controlled and smashed it rather than trying to glance it in from two feet it would've been one nil and no problems - the home form is getting beyond annoying now, but there's a lot more to come from the team and as soon as we really stamp our authority on one game then I'm sure that'll be the end of our troubles. We've dropped from fifth to seventh, but people need to put it in perspective and look where we were a year ago.

Wish we'd go 442 though.

The last two posts have got it spot on. That was horrible, if that's what's going to be dished up over the coming weeks i can see the crowds dropping to well below 1000. Another poor performance on Tuesday and the owners had better be prepared to open the wallets. The managers must wonder what they have to do to get a decent performance at home. Every one i've seen has been well below par, in fact i can't see any difference between this team and last years! Where did the sponsors get MOM from? A defender should of got it, that i agree with but it should of been Pearson, i thought he was our best player today.

Can anyone tell me the sense in having Miguel up front flicking on headers when the other two forwards are to his side, I just can't see the logic!   Like most other contributers to this forum, I would like to see us adopt as 4-4-2 system at home, drop the big man and have Newsham and Clarke up front, trying to poach the goals, as they should be, we need wingers to open up these teams that come to York Street with the sole intention of packing the defence to get a point. Rant over ::)

Missed the first 20 minutes today and come the final whistle i was wishing i had not made it at all !
As Lonegunman has already mentioned, the attendance must be a big concern now as we have lost close to 500 spectators since the opening home game.
Retford on tuesday is now a very important match.

I'd just like to say i'm not blaming anyone, the players are trying their best, the managers are doing the same and if it wasn't for the chaps in charge we'd have no club. The problem is we have probably 600/700 hundred hard core supporters. That's nowhere near enough to keep the club intact, so unless we get it right on the pitch we're going to suffer. I don't have the answers to the problem, lets hope someone at the club does!

You might well be right Big-Tom,but how do we win those couple of home games given todays performance.Whitby wre very ordinary, but we still couldn't unlock them. For all the possesion we had I can remember a goalmouth scramble and Mark Newshams header and other than that we created little.

Adam that was garbage today and any one who says different knows nothing about football. I know peoples opinions vary at times and sometimes we see the same game differently but one chance created at home in 90 minutes is imo garbage. When is our near demise going to stop being an excuse for poor performances? We are all intelligent people and realise what David and Neil did for our club but must it be brought up every time the fans are disgrunteled over the teams performance.

Just  beginning to feel we'll get beaten out of sight next Sat  .
But then we win away and draw at home ..so has the makings of a long cup - run .. I think .. not .
