Well living away from the transport hotbed of South Lincs does have its perks from time to time! Still doesn't make the trek to Workington seem shorter or less expensive mind!

Our geographical location is always going to be awkward with few teams within 20 or 30 miles and still not many within 60-70 miles... but to be looking at only 3 teams within 100 miles is not mega

Would've gone but last train connection is too tight to Sheffield and impossible if we win the cup and the presentation or the game goes to penalties.
But I've been there twice already- hope anyone going has a safe and enjoyable evening

What about Stamp from trinity hes huge been there done it and he scores

As much as I'd like to think we're better than their signing their mercenaries, he would be a good asset for us. The only presence we have up top is Sanders but he can't finish his dinner

I'm assuming he'll take the Gainsborough county cup final seriously to make his mind up who's staying and who isn't

Hopefully we can get 3 points- would be pretty shit to end the season with a whimper like we did last year. Only 1 win in 7 (and that against Hinckley) would look bad as an end of term run in if we don't win either of the next 2 games.

Can't really fault the team but when we had good spells first half, we couldn't find the final ball or the ball didn't run for us or they defended well
When they had good spells, they looked threatening 2nd half (not first half though)
But the annoying thing was the goal came from our attack which broke down and then Ward didn't cover himself in glory dealing with the winger and the bloke had a tap in at the far stick.

Congrats to Chester anyways, good atmosphere though I thought the crowd was more than 3685 (around 120 of us)

Good to see we've got Ross/SWD/Newsh signed up, probably add in Milnes, Mills and Stainfield and maybe a couple of others.

Seen as they have a very realistic chance of winning the title (if they wi and Guiseley don't at Brackley), I'll go for

Chester City 3-1 Boston United
Att 4400

Guiseley drew 1-1 so Chester need 7 points to win the league.
If they win at Gainsborough and beat us then if Guiseley don't win at Brackley, they win the title on Saturday
If Guiseley win on Saturday or if Chester lose one of the 2 games, they can't wrap it up against us.

But I don't see them losing tomorrow and therefore may have a chance to win the title against us, even if it isn't in their control.

150 maybe. I'll be there.
Hopefully unlike the Altrincham game, they have enough space to cater for our support, as Alty fans had filled their section and Chester fans needed to be moved to allocate the extra fans coming in.

In a way, it would be nice if they were in a position to win the title Saturday for a big crowd but then we'd probably get shunted to a corner of something.
