Title: The Weather
Post by: howmanynames2pick on January 14, 2016, 06:25:07 PM
the recent and forecast bad weather may be an advantage to us?
2 games called off on Tuesday night, anticipated postponements this Saturday.
those with games in hand may wish they had played them

Fylde have another fixture to fit in as they are in the Trophy tomorrow.  Instead of a pleasant 5 hour trip to Lowestoft they will now enjoy a 5 hour trip to Eastbourne Borough.  The good news for us is they will now have to make that 5 hour trip to Lowestoft in mid-week.

They've got the money to fly to Norwich and stay in a hotel the night before and after

.....and one more game for Fylde to fit in as they are in the Trophy next round after beating Eastbourne Borough today.  The match now to be re-arranged is away at Nuneaton (midweek).

Plenty of football on tv though. According to my TV guide BT Sport have Roma v Sampdoria from the French top flight later on. Next, they'll be telling me that Gloucester and Lowestoft are in Conference North.

Although lots of  teams have extra matches to fit in, there are only two mid-week games this week.

Weather permitting, would expect DG or someone to be watching Brackley at Gainsborough tomorrow night.  We play them here in a few weeks time.

Even so, it didn't do them any good - Lowestoft 3 - 1 Fylde tonight

Ferriby also dropped 2 points.   Hednesford 1 - 1 N.Ferriby

Decent set of results for us last night but still doesn't hide the fact we lost to 2 sides we ought to be doing better against- we'd pretty much be net 3rd otherwise rather than net 6th
