Polish nationals get in for less
« on: March 15, 2011, 04:13:58 PM »
Just read this on the internet

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/15032011/58/world-football-bath-city-offer-discount-polish-people.html

Seems like a good idea. Could we do the same by offering the now minority english folks a discount? ;D

Racist comment removed - Ken

Surely the Bath management have actually lost the plot with this idea?

Well I am wondering the same thing, but maybe a one game discount to wet their appatites it may pay off, however i can see why people would be upset about the clubs decision

if we could get just 1% of the foreign population in and around boston to york steet it would boost the attendances by a cash boosting amount. maybe more than 300.

Could we get funding to promote an international community day offering a discount to all non UK residents and some form of incentive for all the native population at a future event. As we have about 65 different nations represented in Boston, let them wear there national team shirt etc to claim the discounted price and create a family atmosphere

I think its an excellent idea to offer an introductory rate to an as yet untapped consumer and no different to the 'kids for a quid' schemes employed in the past.  It also makes very sound business sense, you could charge them a pound per game as an initial rate and still be making a cash gain - all be it small - because at the moment they don't come at all.  Then after you have them hooked they pay the normal price and you see a return for the promotion.  Not really that complicated?

An International day with the national shirts would be a great idea.
