Wasn't on the bench again tonight instead all three unused subs were defenders (Butcher, Ashton and Cully.) In this weeks Standard the managers said they were hoping to have a new attacking player on board 'soon'. After the FA cup defeat the managers threatend to off load players and also said that the forwards didn't work hard enough, Clarke started was subbed and hasn't played since. Personally hope the lad gets another chance as I was impressed with him at the start of the season.
-
He was at the game, it depends whether he is willing to wait for a slump or injury to get another chance. As with Kennedy, they can't get in while the team is winning and why should they.

Again? He was on the bench on Tuesdday night - we just didn't make any subs.
-
He wasn't on the bench against Buxton either (1st game after Lowestoft)
-
put your money on him leaving!
-
Having listened to the Chorley postmatch interview with Hursty i have been trying to
interpret his comments into the possibility of a new striker on board this week.Giving
consideration that i assume Clarky is on contract with us i assume he will be the one
making way on a loan deal somewhere. This can only be beneficial to the player who
needs games, the other alternative being the Club will be paying up his contract and we
would naturally loose him to a possible rival club ? Lynn,Hucknall or Retford possibly
come to mind...................
-
I'm sure when the Standard reported the possibility of a new striker, the managers said there was still room in the budget for another player. If that is so then no-one has to leave, unless of course they chose to if they felt they were falling further down the pecking order. The possibility of a player leaving was only mentioned if we were to also persue the signing of Jamie Yates.

Yates has to stay, he is key to recent form with his ability to hold onto the ball until other get in the box for the cross.
-
If he wants to stay, he will do. He's only non-contract at Alfreton, and on loan to us.
-
Quality players like Clarke won't hang around if he's not even getting in the squad.
I reckon he'll be on his way this week to get his confidence back, and I reckon to a team we've already played this season :-X

Where are you going then Clarky? Go on spill the beans ;D

Could be right BUFC2007! Spalding
-
I would have thought Loughborough Dynamo would be better for him, being as he lives there...
-
No, I'm not Clarkey!!
Sure there will be some movements in and out of the Club in the next few days - I reckon it might be worth buying a Standard this week
-
In fact, Pilgrim86 must be Clarkey

Nah we all know who 86 is. For what it's worth i think you Clarky should have got more chances at BUFC.
-
Genuinely not, but did hear he was going out on loan
Hopefully he'll be back in a Boston shirt soon

Anybody want to know any lottery numbers? ;)
-
Good luck on loan Jamie - hopefully he will come back with more confidence because he hasnt been given a decent run of goals for us yet
-
Could see his happening a couple of weeks ago. Especially on Sat when we named three defencive players on the bench including Ashton who is a youth team player.
-
Be good for him to get some games under his belt and hopefully get him into some sort of form
-
I see Clarkey got on the scoresheet yesterday, happy for him.
Had a word with him after the Lowestoft game, he was really down - hope this is helping to pick him back up again.
-
If SWD makes an impact cannot see a future for Clarke at Boston.
-
In other, unrelated news, Ludovic Quistin signed for FC United yesterday

It would appear that reading between the lines here Clarkys demise from 1st team
football here at York Street was subject to his half chance miss at Lowestoft in the
F A Cup a game and subsequent financial rewards we lost out on. If that is the case
then i consider it a bit harsh, other performances have witnessed forwards missing
gilt edge chances the only difference being we went on to win or draw those games.
It makes good sense for the player to do a loan spell to hopefully build on confidence
that has obviously been lacking probably since that fixture. Well done to the lad for
getting on the scoresheet yesterday at Chasetown and upon reading the match report
from the game it appears he was very much a threat all game but one would expect
that anyway from a player imo could play a vital role for us here at Boston.
For green hats mate to make comments about his future here is unrealistic unless of
course he helps with team selection !!

Its logic Sparks their is a limit to how many strikers the club can afford.
-
Good to see Clarke perform well on Saturday!Proved a step upto BUFC level was too much for him.

.
Would probably have to disagree there, according to his player profile on the O/S he
would seem to have a decent c v @ non league level. His age would suggest to me
that he has played in the old Dr Marten Premier Division for Lynn,Grantham and Ilkeston
Town during his career and was obviously quite a force in Unibond 1 last year.
His demise this year to date at York Street imo is he has been asked to play wide in a
three man forward line. For me he is a target man but is obviously in competition with
Danny and Miguel the aforementioned playing well to date with the Management seeing
a direct replacement for Danny in Miguel on the bench. We now have SWD on board but
he does not look a target man in the form of Danny, so would assume he will be used as
an alternative wide man in competition for a shirt with Yates if he stays,Dotty and one
other from a possible two.
Managers love this sought of selection headache which can be only good for the Club.

Don't know the lad but hope he does well.
