Noticed that on the TV highlights of Grimsby last Saturday that they paid prematch tribute to their former captain Brian Clifton who sadly has recently passed away. Many of our older supporters will have happy memories of Brian being part of a successful Pilgrim team from 1966-69. A cultured footballer who later played for Boston FC.
Perhaps we could have a minutes applause before the Brackley or Kidderminster match.
Condolences to his family.

Here's the tribute on the Grimsby website:

A cracking player - we should definitely have a minute's applause.

Do we know where and when the funeral is?
A good friend of mine who played with Brian whilst at Boston would like to go.
