DOWIE BECOMES A PILGRIM
Boston United have signed midfielder Jay Dowie from Skrill North rivals Histon.

A combative midfielder and former Histon scholar, Dowie firmly established himself as a key player in the heart of the midfield.

A number of niggling injuries hampered his progress over the last couple of seasons but the 22-year-old is now 100% fit and signed a new contract in the summer of 2013.

Sounds like a good signing. We've struggled to find a player like this since Church left. Let's hope Dowie is the one.

Was he the little number eight who played against us a few weeks ago?

Found this article from 2011 where DG thought he could be good enough for the Premier League!

I saw Konadu play under DG at St Neots, in a pre-season friendly against MK Dons. Quite simply, he was awesome. He loves to get on the ball, is quite 'wriggly' (a bit like Mark Rawle) and can pick a pass.

We've just ruined histons song by signing him!

Konadu should be very decent at this level

Dowie looked a real good player when he played against us. The tenacious midfielder we need for sure. Konadu should be good. Surely players on the way out?

He looks very skillful and doesn't look afraid to get stuck in either, I'm looking forwards to seeing both him and Dowie tomorrow.  :)

Surely players on the way out?

With only 10 games to go and the team still in the play-off mix I'll be surprised if anyone leaves soon, we need as many fit players as possible.

I was hoping that we'd signed this Dowie

Thats some predatory instinct.......

At Stockport County too.

He gets a glowing reference in Simon Jordan's book which I'm currently reading.........ouch!
