not just poles Cookie... plenty of Russians and other nationalities dotted around, but we just put them all in the same bracket (Poles)... its definitely worth trying though. It would be wrong to ignore potential fans in a place where a fair proportion aren't English
-
Drop some posters in the packhouses eg Staples
-
Put them up in West Street where all their shops are :)
-
Gotta be worth a try
-
Didnt a few say they will hand stuff around Chris has done his part
-
I was one who said I could display some if Cookie could send them with Craig as I never come to Boston when his shop is open :D
-

You would like to think with the foreign population in town very high that this could attract us a fair few new fans?? What are everyone else's thoughts??

Wouldn't bother me standing there handing them out on Friday in town

According to Look North the other night there are 60 different languages spoken in Boston ...but I think 3 is enough! If someone wnats to put some posters up the help would be appreciated, collect from Chris Cook Print or the ground on the Box Office on Saturday ...or even hand out leaflets the help would be very much appreciated.
-
Why not put on a "do" in the Pilgrim lounge?
Invite all and sundry, and show them we are very much a family club, and they are very welcome.
If we get an extra 30 or 40 through the gate, the "do" would pay for it's self in one hit.
-
i dont know if they are allowed to do it but why don't the club try a "pay what you want" fixture ,you could try it in a match against a side who don't bring many fans (take your pick!!)

Ask if Home Bargains till staff can hand them out with receipts... half the buggers we serve aren't English!
-
Josh leave a pile near the bottle/can shelf.

Asda and the DSS would be ideal places, that is where the majority can be found..

The various east European groups have community leaders, would it not be a good idea to invite them as guests to a game and drive home the point we are a community club and that their fellow country men women and children who are now part of the Boston community should embrace all aspects of the community including their local football club. The posters being produced by Chris are great but it all seems willy- nilly surely somebody employed by the club should be organising the distribution, do we have a community officer who could take on this important initiative, with the need for funding for a new ground to prove the club is fully inclusive may be vital if we are going to attract it. A lot was said on here recently about raising funds for the club but it appears nobody has done anything about it so may I appeal to the BOD to grasp the nettle on this one.

I think the club tried it before with the Portuguese! Im sure Sotnick and Co tried and failed.
-
Secondly, Mr Sotnick has never hidden his intentions to tap into the 4,000-strong Portuguese community in the Boston borough.
Southern Europeans currently equate to one-thirteenth of the area's population, and many have watched matches at York Street as guests of the chairman.
Mr Sotnick added: "We are pleased with the strong links we are building with the local Portuguese community.
"If we are able to bring these players over to England then Portuguese people have already offered to help them integrate and give lodgings.
"And from a business perspective, we know there are thousands of Portuguese people in the area.
"If we could bring 10 per cent of these people in to support Boston United then we have achieved another goal."

Yep even changed our away strip colours to those of the Portuguese national shirt for a while in the FL days.
