Harrogate Town are pleased to announce that former Alfreton Town central midfielder Ian Ross has become Simon Weaver's first new signing of the summer.
Ian, 25, began his career at Sheffield United and has enjoyed loan spells at Boston United, Bury, Notts County and Rotherham United before dropping into non-league football with Gainsborough Trinity. In 2009, he joined Alfreton Town and became an important part of the highly successful side that culminated in them claiming the Blue Square Bet North league title this past season.
Matthew Bloomer has also agreed to stay at the CNG Stadium another season. The defender was one of Simon's first signings back in June 2009 and has gone to make 83 appearances to date.

They never stood a chance to gel with the little guy in charge, who showed he new very little about non league football manegment and thats why swan got little reward for his money. Id expect harrogate to form a solid side that will be up there
