A good performance against a decent Stamford side. Nice to see Jake Wright looking sharp. Good attacking options this season 😃.

Attacking play was top drawer at times. Some really well worked goals
Worked hard off the ball to win it back
Defended well against a limited threat

Especially during the first half we looked like a properly prepared team. The was no confusion over roles, and we worked hard as a unit. There were many decent performances but I'd like to make particular mention of Alex Whittle. He'll give Ash Jackson some serious competition for the starting slot. I like them both, but competition for places of this calibre can only be a healthy thing. Also I thought Tom Platt gave superb protection to the back line, something that was lacking last season from other personnel.

I can't add much more to what has already been said, l thought our defence looked good, well organized and confident.
George Green impressed again for me, let's just hope is injury isn't too bad, because we will miss him on Saturday.
Good result and all round performance.
Looking forward to Saturday and a positive start to the season.

Looked like a dead leg for Green, he collided with their player and came off worse. Tried to run it off, but couldn't.

Hopefully the knock for Jake Wright isn't too bad either - that was caused by a late challenge towards the end of the first half.

Really enjoyed it, the big difference for me is the no nonsense approach in all areas whereas last year we were lacking a bit of aggression. We also look like we will entertained more in the top third which we just didn't see last year.

Ok and the 3 goals were good.
Be interesting to see what everyone's thoughts are after Saturday, because after all it's the league that counts.
Oh l also forgot to mention the cracking save from George, l have never been his biggest fan, but l don't think he will give up his place without a fight, good on him!

Very positive signs from pre season that we could be a force in the CN this season.

Saturday's opponents, according to (thier former Salford managers) Johnson & Morley, played there strongest 11 tonight at FCUM & lost 4-1. Goals are on FC's Twitter feed.

having been to Grantham a week ago, I'd like to think we've nothing to fear, especially on our own soil. (Famous last words)
