I was told yesterday Marrs has moved to Boston, living locally with another member of BUFC. Good for him and us. He had a decent game yesterday. Don't think we will miss Dickinson,by what we saw of him, although he didn't look fully fit yet. Reynolds I would think wasn't happy at not being selected in the starting line up, but we have good players in those positions already. Lets pray for a pacy striker soon. Not sure Newsh has enough pace to make any difference to the team, we will see.

Sadly .. do not think Chestnuts will splash any cash .. unlike the Malkies ( rightly or wrongly ) .
Think patience will be required for at least 2 more seasons
          ie no promotion ..

They have already spashed a lot of cash ,  otherwise we would have gone to the wall .
Think you may be right about the patience though ft .

  Fairplay again GHM .
I meant extra cash on wages .
What frustrates me is the apparent inability to sign class old hands into midfield and attack .
The team is too young .

Well if you can equate the talents of that 1995 MU side to Bostons current crop !
And who scored the goals for them that season ?
I don't think Boston have shown any thing from  eg set -pieces that that team was capable of ..

Some of the money changing hands for 'class old hands' is in a different league to what we're capable of.  Give me young, hungry and looking to prove themselves while we remain on the road to recovery over flash in the pan 'class old hands' anyday.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

If you are talking about Leon Mettam, he hasn't scored yet!

I actually thik Greene has done a very good job of finding good players fro lower leagues so far.

Miller was bought in from Stamford a couple of leagues below and in my opinon was the best player in league last season.
Steer was bought in from St Neots a couple of leagues below and in my opinion the best left back in the league.
Given time Felix and or Fallah could prove to be great finds from lower down the leagues. Like Miller and Steer they both have pace to burn, which cannot be taught. Other aspects of their game will hopefully come with training and game time.

OK chaps , lets run a couple of things . .

      1.  RE  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Es-RIBnba8

On that MAN U class of 95/96 double win with 'kids' , Boston would have to  (pro rata)  W27  D8 L7 ,   score at least  73 to35 , giving around 89 points .

      2.  Also who will finish higher (pro rata )  ?  Greene or van Gaal ?

Maybe this can be pinned ..

Thats my point Cavalier just because a player has been about and scoring elsewhere is no guarantee they will do so if they came here. In Mettams case it just "looks" as though we might just have saved ourselves a lot of money!
