Football is a tribal thing at the end of the day.

It's war but played out on a grass pitch.  You are not really allowed to kill anyone but losing a game is not a palatable option.

Players will stop at nothing  to influence the outcome of games by cheating, haranguing referees and swearing when they do not get their own way.

Fans are exploited by football clubs who use the fans' misplaced loyalty and support for their particular tribes (called teams).

These are usually geographic affiliations based on where you are born (or not in the case of a lot of  ManU fans).

A lot of money goes to the fans'  "tribal" heroes - the players. The players pretend to be hugely loyal to the club of course so as not to alienate the fans who pay the players' ridiculous salaries.

The players and fans do not really mix and have little in common because the players have too much money and go to the places where other rich people are. The fans are not rich because the little money they have they give to the teams.

The players will often move to other clubs because they are either crap, fall out with the boss or want to earn more money. They have few loyalties except to themselves and certainly not to the fans.

The players are all little monkeys really. Some fans know this but not a lot. They, the players,  should all be banned from talking to the referee during the game and perhaps each other (at least the opposing players).  :bunny

The B-Ark.  For Boston fans to talk about anything and everything they want to. Including trolls.
