I remember Andy Gray complaining on sky sports about the defence being unfairly penalized if a direct free kick 25 yards out was then given as a penalty because a defending player complained to the ref. I must admit it would be interesting to see how long it would take certain players to stop shouting at the ref.

Problem is Rugby refs have video technology to help them out, so decisions are never wrong, hence theres nothing for players to moan about.

Football refs get several decisions wrong a match, so players will obviously want to remonstrate with the ref, especially in a big decision. Its when players are in the wrong and still shout at the ref is when its bad.

It is so simple, Footballers, generally, represent the fall in standards and morals at all levels in our society. They are just older kids who have become used to getting their own way, with no one daring to tell them otherwise.

Whereas most rugby players have had some sort of education, show basic respect for the guy in charge and are mature enough to understand the meaning of yes and no.

As for the supporters of rugby they can be trusted to have a beer during the game, not make vile racist chants and fight rather than talk.........................football supporters on the other hand...................

And are quite prepared to knock shit out of each other! they are no better than footballers.
