Bishop is decent. Another one to add to the Notts based contingent of Yeomans Gatter and Durrant. Big lad (6 2) and a bit of a handful for defences. Mobile too

Mind you I said that about Brodie! Welcome to Boston Colby

hilliard is gifted. make no mistake about that. great feet and good with the ball

all too often in our game his kind are badged as lazy when they are in fact just languid. if we can get the best out of him he will win us games. really good player. rollins and hawley really grafted hard last night and work rate made all the difference

i've just watched the highlights back and if their gaffer still doesn't think that's a pen after seeing the video then he's either blind or a liar!

pen all day long. he doesn't do it on purpose as he's watching the ball but no doubt he kicks robbo in the midriff

pitch was a bit better last night too which helped us. decent ish forecast for the rest of the week too so hopefully better still v darlo which will give the likes of hilly time to play

would like to see simmons do a bit more. shows well in patches but would like more

Chorley were very cynical from the postponement last month right to the end last night

as soon as they'd scored their players  were going down to waste time. not a great advert for their club or manager who comes out of the sorry debacle with little credit does he?

there were lots of elbows flying around at set plays too but i was pleased to see our lads standing firm in the face of some physical stuff- exactly as jay rollins had predicted

less of chorley though and more about us. this was much much better. let's hope it's a blip as won 4 drawn 2 lost 3 under AM isn't too bad compared to the 9 games or so before his arrival

neither darlington or nuneaton are in great form so at least 4 points from these two please chaps! well done to the fans last night too. after the quiet display v harrogate the noise was better last night and i'm sure the lads were helped by it

onward and upward e

brave selection picking the two young full backs but it paid off. both stayed at  home more and gave us more of a solid look

chapman got more influential as the game went on. agree re hawley- did really well. held it up and was a nuisance. unlike brodie gave no free kicks away either. thought robinson ran hilly close for MOM

just heard their gaffer crying about the pen on their twitter. they turned up late for the original game, then he influenced the ref not to play it. this earned them a tuesday night trip and they were late again. not very professional. when he helped get the initial game called off i'm sure i wasn't alone in thinking i hope they get bugger all from us when we do play it so i'm pleased with the win. it was thoroughly deserved based on the second half display. hopefully hilly will continue to be picked. he's a class act and strikes a great ball

well done to all involved. onward and upward. hope the fella near me in the main stand who was after murray's head at half time has changed his view. for christ's sake give the bloke a chance

we can do better as a crowd so let#s give it a big go v chorley

whilst i thought brodie struggled badly, i thought chapman was miles off it too. just seemed to stroll through the game and didn't engage physically with the opposition and looked for the long pass most of the time

if you watch the highlights back on harrogate's site, the early clearance from ross goes straight to him but he mis controls it into their lad's path and the second goal he drops kalern right in the s**t with a horrible chipped square pass when he has a man closing him down. they then nick it and, as the manager points out, batch should then whack it over the stand once the ball is in front of him. he had a clear shout to clear it

mistakes do happen though and all of the above aren't helped by our dreadful pitch are they?

on another note, given the trinity job is up for grabs- which of our players are a) non contract and b) favourites of the previous manager therefore making them vulnerable to approach should the seemingly inevitable appointment come? just interested in people's views. enjoy your weeks people. just a shame we have no game next week to put things right

what is the timescale for the new ground to be played on? are we confident it will happen?

more i've thought about it the more i reckon yesterday is just a blip. we all have bad days at work and yesterday was just one such day

we were decent at BPA, decent second half and Tamworth but just bad bad bad yesteday. nothing we tried went right did it? that said, would like us to try to play more football

like an earlier poster points out, brodie isn't mobile enough to get onto long punts from the back but he's certainly equipped to attack crosses. can't think of a decent cross we put in from open play yesterday so let's go 4 4 2, get it wide and get ball in for brodie to attack. with hawley's pedigree i'd like to see him start alongside brodie too

don't know if anyone from the club read this but guys, the surface is a disgrace for this level. the players and manager are being let down by asking them to play on a ploughed field. we have some lovely footballers, let's give them a decent top to perform on eh? the performance was unacceptable correct, but the pitch is unacceptable too

just a blip i reckon so keep the faith people, the future is bright if the present is still cloudy! we as fans can do better too i reckon- not a great atmosphere yesterday so let's turn out in numbers on valentine's night. treat him/ her to a fish supper, a pint in the pilgrim and cheer the team on

i'm amazed a club of our size has allowed the pitch to get like this. it's embarrassing. no co- incidence we can't win at home as we can't play proper football

never mind chucking cash at big signings- let's get them a pitch to play on first

agree re chapman. didn't pick his man up and wanted to 'go long' too often with glory passes

let's give him the benefit of the doubt as it's his first game. as for brodie though he's really struggled and surely, based on his displays for us so far has to be benched next time out?

players at this level tend to be paid depending on attendance at both training and matches so missing training usually hits the pocket too

typical brodie. gave loads of fouls away and that will never change. got right in the officials face and that of the opposition too. got booked after about 25 minutes for about his sixth foul but after that calmed down and go on with his game

his stinger of a free kick was only parried by their keeper for the first goal and all in all he gave us an excellent focal point for building attacks and for runners to get past and run off

put a good shift in chasing down too. based on yesterday i'd say a decent signing. his know how and general football intelligence will come into its own against the better teams i think

the loanee from lincoln showed flashes too and we now have the best motivator of all at the club- namely COMPETITION FOR PLACES. there is nothing like knowing you have to produce 8/10 week in week out to keep your place to focus the mind

the back 5 were once more very solid looking. since AM came in this is clearly a focus and we are shipping fewer goals now which is great to see. for me the big decision for next week is do we replace brown with robinson? decisions decisions........ who'd be a manager eh?

The B-Ark / Re: Utd away v BPA
« on: January 21, 2017, 09:54:11 PM »
for me. the biggest area of progress under AM is unity and team spirit. both were on display in abundance so well done to all involved

on another note, today's ref was poor again. think it's only right to comment on bad officials when we've won as well as when we lose

we've had shite refs versus shitboro, stockport and today. one common denominator- all three have been midgets. say no more!

enjoy the weekend and smile guys. we have much to look forward to

stick together and we can achieve!

did well. although BPA were poor so let's not get too carried away

they only really had one proper chance. our keeper made a decent save and 2 mins later 1 0 became 2 0. that's how football goes sometimes

squad strength building all the time but it's early days so keep it low key for now but i think next season will be a good one
