Home form this season
« on: November 28, 2012, 08:35:07 AM »
I note that the home for this season is thus: Won 4, Lost 4, Drawn 1.  This is certainly not play-off form at almost half way through the season.

Mid-term report . . . could do better. Must try harder.  Ironic that we all watched shooting practice before the match last Saturday.  It didn't improve much did it!

Tony,

I don't think they need to practise how to shoot - more how to create shooting opportunities and then have the confidence to execute them, once created.

Confidence and ability to enable consistent execution of scoring opportunities, once created.
IMO this has been the problem for a couple of seasons now, and the reason why we have under-achieved; the team usually produces enough chances, last night sounds like an exception  :-\

At home: loads of chances, not enough goals.

Away from home: not many chances, most taken when we get there ala Halifax.
