The B-Ark / Re: Telford

Somebody UP THERE doesn't like me. I've paid £160 for a motor for the weekend, mainly for the Telford game, and now it's off. I am not a happy bunny.

There is a 3 minute clip on the Fylde web-site, the last minute shows the penalty incident. Crook was VERY unlucky. I thought the decision was debatable, but the ref was up with play and with a clean view. Obviously a vast improvement on the opening day.

Greetings fellow Pilgrims. I wasn't there today, I was on the Twitter feed. The overall feedback was Spennymoor were on top.In fact. with 10 minutes left, the feed said Spennymoor had the game "in the palm of their hands". Craig had a bad day today. We all have 'em. Come back next game and put things right. I've hired a motor for the Telford game and 'er indoors insists on coming to back the lads. It's time to put my faith in the Almighty.

The B-Ark / Professor Van Tam
« on: February 24, 2021, 08:18:43 PM »
Did anyone see Prof. Van Tam On This Morning? He was " spot-on" with the Covid questions and amazingly got Piers Morgan to say sorry for interrupting him! The end of the interview was fantastic where he declared he was considering having a BUFC tattoo on his "deltoid" muscle. Susanna Reid  was impressed, so was Lorraine Kelly. This guy is special.

I would recommend all United fans set aside 42 minutes of their spare time and listen to this interview.
Straight answers to straight questions and that makes the interview zip along.
I won't go into detail because that would spoil it for listeners.
It answered some of my queries but also posed one or two new ones.

I see Colby Bishop scored another 2 goals for Accrington the other night. When he played for us under AM, he couldn't hit a barn door at 20 paces. They must have him on a black pudding diet at Stanley and it's worked! Good luck to him anyway, he might be playing in the Championship next season.

The B-Ark / Random Thoughts....
« on: January 16, 2021, 09:22:31 PM »
1. Jake Wright is back...

Mixed up for me. I don't think he's a natural goalscorer, a predator. but he has a real "tick-box" going for him. He REALLY annoys defenders, I love that.

2. Tom Platt has done a hamstring...

Bad news. I have previously said that our squad could be halved by the end of January.  But continued disruption of the fixtures has meant less games. Platt does a LOT more running than other players. When I look at the fixture pile-up for February, I get that "sinking feeling.

3. Darlington Away...

I don't want to hear CE singing the praises of the officials of THAT club before we play them again.
They are two-faced, back-stabbing liars. And if any of their players are badly injured, leave it to the home team to sort out.

To all Pilgrims, where ever you are, I wish you well. Stay indoors and invent your own cocktails.

I haven't got an opinion about Logan, but I rated Stanfield. My memory bank tells me he felt DG's contract offer was "inadequate", so he left. He stuck his head in when it counted. Then DG signed Pidge and Nathan was forgotten. I still remember him.

What did I tell you! The fat rats on the Conference board have finally broke cover. I hope CE gets the message..., this is where "respect and admiration" gets you. People walk all over you. And to think our medical staff spent over an hour on the pitch caring for their stricken player.

The B-Ark / Chester[HOME]
« on: December 11, 2020, 09:18:05 PM »
Big game tomorrow. If we beat them we're on level points with 3 games in hand. Remember when we beat them 3-2 a few years ago? Jason Lee was the gaffer and we were 3-0 up. I was on another planet.
I know CE respects and admires all the management teams of every opposing team. I don't. If we beat Chester tomorrow, I will be overjoyed at the prospect of two certain individuals facing a pointless journey home.
When are the Conference suits going to make a decision about Darlington? I smell a big rat. Prove me wrong.

The B-Ark / Re: This saturday stream
« on: November 28, 2020, 08:52:18 PM »
I didn't see the stream but it looks like we ran out of steam. The BIG problem coming up is the non-stop fixture list. Half of the squad could be out injured by the end of January. Nobody's fault. I agree this is our strongest squad for years. However. thanks to COVID, the chances of us maintaining a promotion push are questiionable. This entire season is a joke but nobody's laughing.

Very interesting 2 games coming up. AFC Fy£de away first. I was at the 9-2 defeat when DG was the boss. He wanted out. Take it from me there were some smug b£s*a%ds from Lancashire that day. Do a Leeds UTD job on them[circa 1972].
Well OXO, I hope Gloucester away is the oppisite to last season when we lost 3-0 at Evesham. I remember you and I were less than happy with the team's effort that day. Regardless of that I look forward to having a pint with you in the not too distant future.

The B-Ark / Re: Fylde match off due to Covid
« on: November 14, 2020, 02:00:17 PM »
Unless someone knows any other reason, I believe this is due to the club's activities at the training ground in South Yorkshire. The infection rate there is much higher than Lincolnshire. I don't think this will be the last time this happens. What the remedy is, search me. Most of the squad/staff seem to have a connection to that part of the country. 2 weeks lock-down every time means a fixture backlog is inevitable.

I've just been chatting to my elder brother on the phone[now 78 and living in Sweden]. Your Dad was his form master for 2 years and his Maths master in the 6th form. My brother[Michael Tomlinson] tells me your Dad was popular and well respected. He told me an amusing story of when in the 6th form he had a double Maths period. The 1st period was taught by the Head[Mr. Ricketts?], who had a 1st in Maths from Oxford. He had covered the blackboard in algebra to complete some mathematical equation. Your Dad came in to take the 2nd period and looked in silence at the board for a minute. He then "edited" the formula by roughly 75% and proclaimed the answer was the same!
My brother has asked me to post this and send his regards to his former mentor.

Good quality 14 minute clip on Leamington FC You Tube channel now. Third goal from Garner is very tasty. The whole team looked very fit in their "Real Madrid" away kit. Bring on Guiseley.
