The B-Ark / Re: BBC Lincs . Steve Housham interview with Rob Makepeace .

Pleased to see Trinity have apologised. But, I'm afraid, that is not good enough. Gainsborough Trinity did not make the offensive comments, but an employee of their did.  That employee should apologise to the people of Boston for that very offensive remark.  Why on earth should he not take responsibility for his own remarks.

Interesting how the Trinity supporters' flags and banners disappeared very early.  At least one at half time!  Probably left to go in the Pilgrim Lounge!

Certainly DG is doing a great job, and don't change things.  Rob Scott walked out.  End of.

I am just amazed that the North Ferriby ground, just across the allotments, with no parking, is of high enough standard for this league.

Well, David Holdsworth only given a season to get it right.  Hard job this manager business!

I went to the County Cup pre-season game, the previous season, although I felt welcome in the bar, and in the ground, when Boston took the lead, there was certainly a group of Trinity fans who became very abusive, and it was most uncomfortable watching the rest in an unsegregated ground.
Boston fans are just the same as Trinity ones, the majority are placid going for a day out and enjoying watching their team.  As with all football clubs, and society, there are always a few idiots.  From what I personally saw 18 months ago, I would be very surprised if there was not a few Trinity fans having a pop.
Good luck Trinity for the rest of the season.
Boston United 4 points, Trinity 1.

The atmosphere in that dressing room cannot have been great for the new guy to say he's had enough already!!
The trouble is, half the fan base has already said the same as well.  Just crazy.

The B-Ark / We're all in it together . . .

Let's hope when we are back to one match a week, and training proper can start again, there are sessions on passing the ball.  It seems that the football is just one big "Hot potato" that must be kicked forward to any opposing defender as quickly as possible.

I do hope it is not the case of paying peanuts and getting monkeys, and hope some hard work on the training ground can get some semblance of a football team back on the pitch at York Street, as it used to be called.

There were occasions last night when the goalkeeper grabbed the ball, and within two seconds kicked the ball forward to the front line where there was two against five!  Please players, think, play football, and all the crowd will get behind the team.  That's all the crowds need . . . someone, or something to be encouraged about.

I am absolutely fed up with the attitude about fellow supporters either being moaners or will support any old rubbish played because it is Boston United.  Already 500 supporters have gone, maybe they will come back this season, we'll have to wait and see.  But all will cheer when there is something to cheer about.  You know it makes sense.  Even a very loyal fan next to me on Tuesday said "I bet you regret being a season ticket holder?"  Well, I go, I enjoy the company, a natter with Rod and Des, and the others, and we all live in hope that the club, under whoever, will get it right and make the visit worthwhile!

I notice the Spalding Guardian are saying the local team are close to signing a centre half and a left midfielder from a Blue Square North team . . . . I wonder?

It's a huge surprise to me that there was anyone left that wasn't moaning at the dross we have been watching until last Saturday!!

Not to complain at what was going on, there really must have been some Angels out there, with more money than sense.

Happy Christmas everyone  :xmashat

I'm afraid it was inevitable. The performances have not been what is needed by any club.

But I can't help feeling sorry for Jason, especially at this time of year. Good luck Jason, and best wishes.

Football is in competition with everything else these days, including rugby on the TV. But the previous poster has one good point at the end "If you are going there in expectation of entertainment, then you have the question yourselves of why you are going!"

Now that is ridiculous.  You go to meet your mates and be entertained at the same time.  Live in the real world
