Maybe it is to do with non-football matters but its certainly bad timing coming off the back of Ward quitting and the left back debacle. Was impressed with Greene's initial work this summer but am slightly concerned now. Next few signings will tell us a lot about where this club is headed.

If I were a betting man I'd have a few bob on NFU too........and then reinvest the winnings on them blowing up once the money goes.

I'd also have money on us winning programme of the year again, it seems things like that get priority over a challenging team.

The players we have signed so far sound OK to me. Possibly better than OK. What makes you so convinced they are duffers?

Think some of you need to get real. He's being signed as a back up to SWD and Newsham - you aren't going to get Luis Suarez doing that. He may chip in with some goals, he may not. It's a gamble. Football is full of those. Let's hope this one works but if it doesn't we won't have lost much.

Finally, we seem to have a manager who is able to sell the club to decent players. Although we perhaps cannot offer the highest wages, we ought to be a draw for many at this level. We are a big club at BSN level and well done to DG for getting people to realise that.
