Southport Game

        I wonder how many travelling fans realise that Southport play in similar colours to us, namely black and amber. That being the case, perhaps it would be a good idea for us to wear something blue to match our away strip. I remember when we knocked them out of the FA cup back in the 70`s and arrived at the ground thinking "Wow, our supporters completely outnumber theirs". It took me a while to realise the error. I hope our club plays in our away strip on Saturday so that the team get used to passing to someone in blue  in preparation for the Southport game. It could be confusing for them in that match.
       Here`s hoping for a repeat of that FA cup game in the 70`s! Anyone else remember that game?

They didn't wear any kit according to the photo in the Standard!  :D

I see Southport were pummeled in a 5-1 defeat by Aldershot today, who are currently lying 2nd from bottom in the Skrill Premier...

They've also got Luton away on Tuesday night who are 3rd from top...

Of course, we still have the job to do, but gives an interesting spin on things!





(FA Trophy final is 23rd March 2014 to pencil lightly in your diaries :P ;) ;D)
