This is a fantastic gesture by BUFC which has been very well received by our fans. The support shown by so many fans from all over the country has been amazing - I was at Cambridge United on Sat and their fans not only donated over £1000 but were very sympathetic and supportive of our predicament.
As some of you may remember I was organising a sponsored walk to Boston on Boxing Day and following this gesture by your club I may continue with the plans to do this.
Obviously with your clubs permission if we do come over we may well ask to do a bucket collection outside the ground - I would appreciate you comments on this idea ( good OR bad )

Thanks

From a selfish point of view this will cost BUFC a  15k / 20k gate on boxing day along with the loss of the Newcasle B S fixure it amounts to a big loss to club.  Lynn should have a comparativly easy job to reform with the council owning the ground and letting it to the present club at a peppercorn rent . Hopefully with a new club run by a reputable body this arrangement would continue.

The newly formed Blue & Gold Trust is working hard behind the scenes and planning for the future - to either assist any consortium that may come forward or worst case scenario reform for next season.  As a director of the Trust and a fan of KLFC for 32yrs I am devastated at what has happened but not surprised.  The only way forward for football at this level is for clubs to be owned and run by a cooperative and not by men with huge egos and wallets.  We will return (gutted about Boxing Day too!!!)

K Lynn will be in the frame .. 2 seasonal crackers to  savour  at the turn of the Yr ..

I appreciate you guys have played a lot bigger teams in recent years but we all cant wait to finally play a local derby on Boxing Day. Would confidently predict a travelling support of 500+ and wouldnt be surprised to see 750 make the short trip.  I am walking (!) to the game in aid of our Trust but hope to be there in time for a few winter warmers beforehand!!!!

To be honest this will be our 1st sponsored event having already held successful quizzes and discos so although I accept your point re sponsorship we dont see this as a problem.  Our walk has been registered with Lincs police, we have stewarding and it will be well organised.  And I am sure we will still have plenty of time in he pub too!!

Firstly oxo I apologise I have just found your reply which one of our members had "hidden" in a folder somewhere!  I look forward to your reply when you have had your next meeting.  I dont know if it would interest you but the Blue & Gold Trust is officially being launched on Nov 19th when we will have an evening of entertainment including auction of football memorabilia and you may want to pop over?
Qwerty we are planning to do a sponsored walk from Fosdyke to BUFC (10 miles on the back roads) in aid of Trust funds.  We were hoping to play at your place on Easter monday and walk all the way but this is a compromise considering its over xmas.  I am hoping 20 of us will do the walk and thought it would be a good pr opportunity if some of you guys joined us.  Obviously your walkers would raise money for your trust and visa versa.  We expect to leave at 10 (yes I know its Boxing Day!!) and arrive around 1pm in time for a few refreshments before the game.

I have emailled this address twice but no reply so assume the BUFC Trust is dormant??  I am trying to see if your Trust would be interested in joining forces with ours on Boxing Day for a joint fundraising venture.

I've always enjoyed my visits to The Walks, I went several times when McFraud was raping this club, its a decent ground that has a decent atmosphere with 900 in.

Its like a bloody morgue most of the time!

Is your Trust still up and running?  I have emailled them twice now with no reply.  Could someone give me a contact no/address for them please.

Thanks

Difficult question to answer 91. We took around 150 to Telford last yr (the "glamour" away tie) I would hope a couple of hundred will travel but could be more if we near the top (usual apathy applies!) There is a good interest in visiting fcum but I am afraid boston for us is the big local derby we havent had for a while.  There were 3119 for the boxing day fixture in 1999 and I reckon there will be at least that many again  ;D

We're hoping for at least 26

Might just about manage to muster that many lol Be nice if we were 1st and 2nd now that would be some crowd eh? Hopefully we will bring as many as we did last time we came to your place over christmas - and get the same result   ;)
